As much as I hate agreeing with Ameri, it really doesn't take that much will power or dedication not to check a thread labelled "MCU Discussion Thread" if you want to avoid spoilers for arguably the biggest movie of all time which occurs in the MCU.

Entirely fair, but then again it's expected to [spoiler] spoilers as courtesy regardless.

Sure but that's beside the point... Sometimes you've gotta take some personal responsibility for the things that happen to you.

Hasn't the spoiler "ban" been lifted already? My friends and I have been talking about Endgame on Twitter and have been sharing memes on Facebook since Monday.

It has, as I’m aware, been lifted as of Monday.

Thought the thread might be interested in this, all of Disney's planned movies so far through 2027.

On the subject, that poll needs updating. Considering X-Men is about to come to the MCU.

OP hasn't been here in forever, poll should have been changed months ago.

They sure have big hopes for Avatar.

Does it really need sequels? The blue people drove off the humans and can live in peace. Where does the plot go? Would anyone really care?

I took risks being here admittedly, but I turned out fine (the most major spoilers I got were from assholes on Discord)

I see Stuber on that list. That movie looks great. Me and my brothers planned to see it after we saw the trailer.

A. James actually had all of those planned out before the Mouse bought Fox. Also, why are you doubting his sequel abilities? Have you not seen T2 or Aliens?
B. It's still the highest growing movie ever made (Not adjusting for inflation), and that was with a smaller Chinese market, so yes, Disney needs to make sequels as they have a habit of milking cash cows to death.

I’d be interested to see how well Avatar 2 actually does though. It stood out back then for its CGI but was also considered to be rather simplistic. People aren’t that interested in the story. I’d bet 9,999 out of 10,000 people couldn’t even name a single character from the film.

There are more plot heavy franchises renowned for their CGI nowadays, so it won’t stand out as much.

I'm mostly annoyed that the Artemis Fowl movie got pushed back yet again.

Jake Sully, Neytiri (Also played by Zoe Saldana, she's the real winner here...), Grace Augustine, Mo'at, Trudy, etc...

It also set up an entire solar system teeming with story potential, and Cameron is known for doing sequels, so yeah... Why are we arguing about this? Isn't this an argument about how much richer Disney is going to be?

Maybe you’re arguing, but I’m simply pointing out that the movie’s true cultural impact is minimal.

I know it’s oft repeated to the point of memetic corruption over at r/movies but... well... no cultural impact.

This is a forum that happily spoilers television shows for up to a month.

You're basically suggesting it's John's fault he missed his exam because the train ahead of him derailed.

One of them was meant to be underwater. I remember that.

Cultural impact: No, not really.

Technological impact: Oh, it fucking revolutionized CG, 3D, and motion capture tech. It's still incredibly important in that regard.
