Yes.

Also, Fox just announced release dates for New Mutants, Deadpool 2, and officially titled X-Men : Dark Phoenix.

Interesting, but none of that is MCU is it?

Well, Sony is also not connected with MCU, so...

(well, the Spider-Man is more of a deal between both companies.)

Is there going to be a third X-men cinematic thread then?

I refer to it as the X-Verse. :p

I don't know though. Maybe that could be a poll. This is a thread on the MCU and there is still plenty to cover even without the X Men films. But I am not certain if a discussion thread based 'only' on the X Men films would fare well. I like them but perhaps it would be better if this is a all in one Marvel movie discussion thread.

Of course there are separate threads for DCEU and Arrowverse... :meh:

I'll leave it up to ya'll.

We probably don't need X-Men cinematic thread. There are many things that can be covered in MCU, just like what Rebel said.

So....Any thoughts on Loki simply not dying in every movie he's "killed" in?

Only villain with any kind of depth other than maybe Zemo who will also reappear.

Unless we count Thanos slowly getting off his ass. In the next teaser Thanos will... brush his teeth!

Loki's important, after all.

Also, I'm surprised we have no supporters in Team Stark.

Just watched a Looper video on why there likely won't be a new Ghost Rider film in the MCU. Besides the fact that a new incarnation of the character has already appeared in the tv shows, it's not Johnny Blaze. In fact, Johnny is not even mentioned by name. Although I do think it is strongly hinted that the original Ghost Rider was the one who created the new one.

Confession time, I actually enjoyed the first Ghost Rider film. It's not my favorite pre-MCU Marvel film but it did introduce me to a character who became one of my favorite Marvel heroes.

So...am I the only one here who would like to see the current MCU Ghost Rider get a film? Or at least a full Netflix series?

Also, It's kinda head canon for me that the Ghost Rider films are unofficial prequels to the Ghost Rider in the tv show. Kinda like how I replace Superman 3 and 4 with Superman Returns.

You know what would be a great marvel property for a movie? Thunderbolts. Imagine that after Infinity War the Avengers are temporarily gone, and the Thunderbolts swoop in to be the heroes everyone needs. It could even be the way Zemo comes back.

It would be refreshing for casual audiences because they probably don't know about the Thunderbolts and of course comic book fans would like it.

I guess this poll is about settled. Seems most want this to be a all in one Marvel television discussion thread. Can't say I disagree as I don't really feel like making any more threads.

I actually don't know the Thunderbolts. My Marvel loyalty only stretches to film. My true heart lies with DC.

Also, just heard that Fox is going to be aiming for a blockbuster revival pretty hard with Deadpool 2, New Mutants and Dark Phoenix next year. I plan to watch them, anyone here excited for those?

I don't agree with the descision to do the dark Phoenix plot again. You had your chance to do the story in X3 Bryan Singer and you chose to leave for Superman Returns. How incredibly arrogant that now he's doing X-men again he's just going to pick up where he left off like we didn't already get this story. Contrary to popular belief X-men fans don't need the dark Phoenix story over and over.

It's not even that interesting. Jean Grey has a spooky thing inside her and the X-men have to fight it. Big whoop.

My biggest issue with the X-Men movies I suppose is the inability to keep a steady progression as a shared universe. Instead we keep getting what seems like 'soft reboots' as most call it. I know that the first three films dropped before the whole 'shared superhero universe' concept was really a thing for film. But I don't think it would have been too hard to build from it.

Up until now I choose to kinda view the X men movies like star wars. You have the Original Trilogy(X-Men, X2, Last Stand) the Prequel Trilogy (First Class, Future Past, Apocalypse) the 'Wolverine Trilogy' (Origins, Wolverine, Logan). And tie in movies like Deadpool.

It isn't perfect but I am a little worried these newer movies will screw my system up. Deadpool can pull anything off and get away with it but New Mutants and Dark Phoenix, I just don't know if they are 'rebooting' or progressing after Apocalypse.

For the record my favorite X Films are in no particular order...X-2, First Class, Future Past and Deadpool. I enjoyed Apocalypse ok but of it's trilogy it's my least favorite. I give it a 7.

Well, the needs to attracts attentions for the current MCU Ghost Rider as a film is a needed thing. We can see that he's going to be in the Phase 4, considering Phase 3 is full of movies so far. Maybe Netflix, but Ghost Rider needs a higher budget than normal MCU TV series in Netflix and outside of Netflix.

Same with me. DC is the heart of mine, in the end. I'm excited for Deadpool 2. Not really excited with Dark Phoenix, as for New Mutants...well, let's see.

But in the end it's going to be the same. Mutants will be ended.

As they have shown pictures with Spider-man, Iron Man and Starlord together on set, I bet a trip to another world where a certain black suit is picked up, probably will be included in Infinity War.

To the poll question : only discuss movies with a Stan Lee cameo.

They may or may not do so. If they are, it'd probably be several years from now, maybe. I think there's something to a flaming skull guy in leather biker gear with a Harley and a giant chain that wreaks fiery havoc on demons and Satan that might appeal to people. idk, though.

Finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 yesterday. It far exceeded my expectations. I may have to watch it again, but I'm very tempted to say that it was better than the original.
