[The Federation of Kendor]

1950: The first nuclear power station is constructed in the Telvar Delegacy, as well as the first radiation suit, somehow. Meanwhile, in the Frontier Commonwealth, the first rocket is sended to the space. A next eocket is then planned, with it carrying the first satellite.

The scientists, ignored in their studies about the dangers of nukes, started to study cases of radiation poisoning some years ago, covering over 100 years. Their resukts were shocking. There are many cases of that in various areas, like factories that created products using previously unknown radioactive things, etc. In addition, the effects were also horrifying, like increased cancer rate, and some other radioactive effects. Meanwhile, a different pair of scientists founded the DNA.

The Arctic city started to demand Kargazastan for 1/10 of it's big lands. Kargazastan reluctantly accept the deal, giving up empty lands, but actually rich in resources, as well as being enough to make The Arctic City from a city state to an actual nation.

Zaranists started to rise in protest because they were paired with the Commonwealthists, who they saw as being a disgrace to the Zaranist cause. They rebelled. Meanwhile, in Notching, the leader, Gou Zhong, declared that he will develop Notching to rival the Western nations, and started a program he called as "The Great Leap"

May 1950: Liberated Commonwealth troops shock the world and invade Jenniferia using "depth tactics". The Jenniferian government is taken by surprise and Tom Gorge is killed almost immediately by paradropped troops. The remaining government flees to the western port city of Aeri. Though not getting involved directly in the war, Snowflake lets Jenniferia buy large amounts of Blizzard missiles at low prices, giving them the advantage needed to shoot down another parachute invasion of Aeri. Bordeline declares war on the LCJ. The LCJ declares war on Darcelia.
June-September 1950: The front lines begin to stabilize. The LCJ now controls most of Jenniferia and Darcelia, as they both had almost no military. Aeri, however, still remains under Jenniferian control. Portbarry joins the war and the city soon comes under siege. The Century Palace is bombed and destroyed. The Frontier Commonwealth thinks the LCJ is going a bit too far and does not send help. Sigilite and Notching, however, both send troops to aid the LCJ. Relsenia and Tralvia both break the FJIC treaty and start re-arming.
October 1950: Aeri falls, and the Jenniferian government-in-exile evacuates to Legane City, reviving Jenniferian nationalist sentiments in the Snowflake-controlled city. The LCJ declares war on Relsenia.
November 1950: Portbarry falls. Everyone panics. The LCJ is halfway through Relsenia by now, and is being aided by revolting Commonwealthist Relsenians. Tralvia declares war on the LCJ, but it might be too late...
December 1950: ...Or is it? On December 18th, 1950, the Sigil Coast drops "Frosty Cake", annihilating the LCJ capital of Southvalen and making the world realize the destructive power of the atomic bomb. The LCJ still refuses to surrender, believing that the Sigil Coast only had one bomb. They are proven wrong when "Caedmon I" is dropped on Stolta, destroying the small city and cutting the LCJ's supply routes to Relsenia and Tralvia. The LCJ doesn't want to fight a nation with nuclear weapons and signs a peace treaty:
1. The LCJ annexes Jenniferia.
2. The LCJ annexes the Tesklavar province of Darcelia.
3. The FJIC is officially dissolved.
4. The LCJ recognizes the sovereignty of Portbarry, Relsenia, Tralvia, Bordeline, and the remaining part of Darcelia.

All of Jenniferia, except for Portbarry, is now under the control of the LCJ. They begin purging "Weemusists" and "restorers" immediately.


The VDC is (obviously) lowered to 24 minutes to sunset.

June 1950, Nouveau-Roi: The postwar demobilization of Nouveau-Roiian troops allowed many to return to their homes, but not all. Famous General of the Armies DuRoyal finally is able to end a storied military career this year as he retired at the age of forty and returns home to farm. However, he also becomes an outspoken critic of the government as he expresses his dislike of the annexation of large parts of Del-Kasha, calling it a betrayal of the neutral, non-interventionalistic history of the country. DuRoyal receives widespread national support for his views, but the government becomes more and more radical. Less than a month after his retirement, DuRoyal annonces his candidadacy for the election of 1952.

1950-1952, Jenniferia: While the LCJ has occupied Jenniferia, the Reunification League responds with mass resistance in the form of partisan warfare. The well-trained and now very angry troops become a thorn in the side of the LCJ, conducting hit-and-run tactics and effectively confining LJC influence to the cities as massive support from the countryside and the government-in-exile keeps LJC troops from ever being able to deliver a knockout blow. The ex-TSJ troops prove to be the toughest fighters and earn the nickname "the Devil's Brigade" from their enemies. JFA troops also conduct raids, and the LJC begins to feel a large drain on manpower and money as casualties mount and public sentiment begins to turn against the occupation.

1953: DuRoyal won the election at Nouveau Rori. Immediately after he won, he started a reform of Nouveau Rori, constructing many new industry, business, etc to make Nouveau Rori prosper more (becoming like modern day IRL Belgium and the Netherlands). He also started to cede most of the lands gained from Del-Kasha back to Del-Kasha. However, he was also a critic of both Weemusism and Zaranism, with Weemusism being obvious, while Zaranism being a form of government that oppress their people. (Commonwealthism is an analogue to Socialism with Capitalism, while Zaranism is Maoist and Stalinist Communism)

The Telvar Federation launches the first satellite to the space, using a rocket. The satellite, a satellite that receive radio signals from the Telval Federation, was called "Telvar 1". The designer of this satellite was the later Stephen Telvar, as well as his son, Frank Telvar, and daughter, Sharon Telvar.

The Zaranist nations, Sigilite, LCJ, and Notching, started to perform a program of economic development, called the "Five Years Plan". In addition, they also constructed forced labor camps that imprison all enemies of the state and make them do forced labor. In addition, they also started to take all of the Bourgeoisie's possessions and add them to the state's coffers. They also created the Sigilite Zaranist Intelligence Agency, Notching Intelligence Agency for the Class Struggle, and LCJ Intelligence Agency. The started to plan DuRoyal's assassination.

1954: Lamapadia emerges with their magnum opus of international diplomacy: the World Assembly. This organization is dedicated to ensuring peace world wide and to international cooperation. All 74 countries in the world (the world is a big place) are automatically granted membership. The first conference was not very stellar, as only half of the world's nations sent a delegate, and the whole thing ended when the diplomats from some nations at war with each other on the other side of the world get into a massive brawl. Nevertheless though, the meeting is seen as a very positive step for peace.

Alexi Comnadus dies in his sleep (he was 92 years old) and a new leadership takes over the LCJ. The new politburo is widely seen as more moderate than Comnadus. The new government quietly purges the hardliners and then grants more autonomy and freedoms to the "occupied zones". The population in the annexed areas begin to accept the new leadership with the guarantees of certain rights.
However, almost all defectors, refugees and malcontents have been moving to the Legane City region, still under Snowflake control, and many work for the government-in-exile over there. The government-in-exile manages to purchase (in secret) 10 extremely technologically advanced Frontier Commonwealth tanks which would spearhead any theoretical invasion, but for now they are biding their time.

Sigil Coast's election brings in a staunch democrat leadership that clearly sees the threat of Zaranism and begins to take steps to oppose it. The Frontier Commonwealth, Relsinia, Bordeline, the Telvar Federation and Snowflake join the initiative.

Del-Kasha's Western Republic joins the Zaranist 5 year plan initiative. For obvious reasons, their first edition is the 4 year plan. Zaranist countries begin cooperating more closely on economic, military and social initiatives. Meanwhile the Central and Eastern Republics merge together for their own security under a right-leaning democratic model and ask for the Frontier Commonwealth's protection.

1955: Darcelia signs the RAD Treaty, becoming the fifth member state of the alliance. Relsenia also begins negotiations to join.

An attempt is made on the life of DuRoyal when a sniper attempts to assassinate him during a speech. However, the bullet merely grazes his shoulder. The sniper is never found.

Portbarian diplomat and internationally recognized negotiator Rudolph Bond is elected Director General of the World Assembly, with the only objections to him coming from Sigilite and Notching.

The Telvar Federation launches a second satellite, Telvar 2, and begins planning five more.

1956, January: The first RAD Summit is held in Darcelia, where the five members states unanimously agree to accept Relsenia's application to join. Relsenia must sign the RAD Treaty within one year or the approval will be revoked.

1957: In response, Sigilite, Notching, and the LCJ sign the Zaranist Internationale Cooperation Agreement, or the Zarintern-CA.
1959: For years, the Telvar Federation had become extremely rich due to its trade in oil and diamonds. Its government was able to pour massive amounts of money into its space program, nuclear weapons, and other research while its citizens still had some of the best living standards in the world. In 1959 this all changed. The Frontier Commonwealth still had huge untapped oil reserves that remained empty due to both government regulations and the lack of customers. In 1958 the FC changed their trade restrictions resulting in huge amounts of cheap oil from the Commonwealth flooding into the market. The Telvar Federation, which had already began running out of diamonds to mine, suddenly found out why it was risky to rely too much on one industry.
By 1959 the price of oil had dropped dramatically. The Telvar Federation's banks had taken significant risks in lending to the oil industry, and the risks had always paid off...until now. The Telvar Federation's 3 biggest banks, including Delan and Gates Co.[1], soon became close to bankruptcy.
The economic crash soon spreads to other countries and the Telvar Federation cuts its spending on its space program.
Meanwhile, conflict breaks out in Mishina. Protests against the Zaranist government occur and are brutally suppressed. The two other Mishinan states, the Mishinan Empire and the Mishinan Democratic Republic[2], begin funding more rebels in Mishina. In response, the People's Navy of Mishina attacks a ship filled with supplies for the rebels disguised as a cargo ship. Several naval skirmishes break out after that and it seems like a war will start soon. If a war does start, the Zaranist Mishinan State has much more manpower and a larger army than both of the other nations, but they are on islands separated by straits and the Mishinan Empire still has most of the old Mishina's navy. By now, however, the ZMPS has built up its own navy... The conflict can be continued by the next poster.

Meanwhile, more independence movement rises in many large nations across the world. In Relsenia, the government started a program to develop their swamps

1960: Snap elections in the Telvar Federation bring in an absolute landslide for a radical centrist party. The new government changes the flag and renames the country back simply to Telvarsland. State support for the diamond mining and oil drilling is introduced, as is a radical new welfare state. To pay for this, the space program is put on a "diet", with over 80% of it's funding cut.

That said, it doesn't stop many Telvars emigrating. Of this group, significant numbers settle back to the old world in Jenniferia, now (apparently) firmly and peacefully under the domination of the liberated commonwealth, where they mostly serve as skilled workers.

The other big shift though is to Snowflake into Legane City. Legane City has prospered enormously in recent years, invigorated into a world centre of music, culture and philosophy.... including many radical philosophies about the way Jenniferia should be run. The "government-in-exile" there holds an election among the expat community (which they win easily) and moves to a brand new office building.

The Minishan islands descend into savage warfare. And very quickly, the war becomes a proxy for RAD and the Zarintern, as each side supplies weapons, information and elite volunteers to their local proxies. Despite terrible loss of life, very little of significance happens militarily this year. The World Assembly meets again in Lampadia to discuss the crisis, and support for a military arm in the organization seems to grow.

Zara Fenner dies this year in Sigilite due to liver failure. Turned out she was a catastrophic alcoholic in later years. Zaranists everywhere mourn her passing, with the Liberated Commonwealth of Jenniferia imposing a 7 mourning period.

1961: The World Assembly forms an international police co-operation agency, the World Assembly Security and Policing Service, or WASPS. Most countries in the world join, with the only notable exceptions being Sigilite and Jenniferia. Jens Alton, a respected police commander from Nouveau-Roi is elected as the first director-general of WASPS. The service opens their new headquarters, nicknamed "the Nest", in the Sigil Coast.

A new strain of Portbarry fever strikes Kargazastan, causing widespread disruption due to a lack of immunity. Some begin to call for an international health agency.

1962: The strain of Portbarry fever spreads to Del-Kasha and mutates inside of kitsunes. Treatment for humans turns out to be completely useless in kitsunes and the disease kills 8 million in 1962 alone. (The variant inside of kitsunes becomes known as Kashgate fever.) In the chaos, some Del-Kashans in the Western Republic attempt to rebel, and the Eastern Republic sends help to them. Shortly afterwards the WA creates the World Assembly International Health Agency, or WAIHA.
Meanwhile, in Mishina, the MIshinan People's Navy continues to skirmish with the Imperial Mishinan Navy. The LCJ "lends" the People's East Fleet of Jenniferia, which is nearly a third of its navy. The PEF is finally gives Zaranist Mishina the momentum it needed and they win a decisive victory in the 3rd Battle of Dayaki Straits in Augut. In September the Zaranists anchor right off the coast of Imperial Mishina's capital, Wanimasako, and begin bombarding the city...until a fleet from the RAD arrives in November and they fight in the climactic Battle of Sako Bay. They fight for several weeks until... The next poster can decide.

Jens Alton is found dead under suspicious circumstances. Reynir Vellingsor, a police commander from Freezlund, is elected as the next director-general. Rumors spread that the the delegates of the 18th sun or the SDP had assassinated Alton in order to cover something up. Shortly afterward, a mysterious explosion occurs at the WA headquarters in Lampadia, killing 26 diplomats. A mysterious organization calling itself "Domination E. G. S." claims responsibility. It seems like the delegates of the 18th sun are back...

1963: The RAD takes an opportunity of the plague to destroy the Zaranist government of West Republic of Del-Kasha, by supporting pro-Commonwealthist rebels. They also sended a letter to the East Republic of Del-Kasha telling them to cease and desist in assisting the original government, instead to limit their help to a humanitarian ones instead. Meanwhile, some healthy kitsunes tried to escape from the near extinction the plague caused, while scientists studied the virus, learning more about genes, muations, evolution, etc.

In the Battle of Sako Bay, the Mishinan People's Navy mercilessly pounded through the defense of the Imperial Mishinan Navy. With the new free reign of invasion, they send waves of troops in massive numbers to overwhelm their enemy. The troops, while using cheap weapons, were actually effective, as their weapons can be mass produced and overcoming that weakness with sheer number. The Zarintern then sended a letter taunting the RAD that their "bourgeoisie" weapons are much more little in number than theirs because of being produced by the capitalists and thus more expensive and complicated. Meanwhile, both sides started to commit war crimes, with the Imperial side savagely treating any POW's, while the Zaranist did the same, but even more brutal, with assassinations, and dumping of the assassinated being done on the streets.

The WASPS started to form a special investigative task force, called "Unit 36th Truth Light Bringer", to investigate the new group. Meanwhile, waves of terrorist attacks happened across all nations, targeted at the WA

Meanwhile, the WA started to form many more organizations under their control. The organizations, by this time, were nearly complete (being equivalent to all IRL organizations that the UN currently have, like ILO, UNESCO, etc)

Telvarsland resigned from the RAD, and instead become neutral, given the new government were centrist. Meanwhile, the remaining RAD members worried about the possibilities of the immigrating citizens of Telvarsland, to LCJ, becoming a proletariat who like Zaranism.

Meanwhile, more tech, knowledge, and cultures were discovered. While there are still some 60's elements, the world now have some 70's vibe, though some feats haven't been achieved yet, like sending people to the Moon. However, space observatories, both in the form of telescopes on Earth and satellite's cameras discovered more about space, and also found that the system where Sarx was located to contain 10 planets. The the first and second planet were too hot to support life, while the third contains signs of sentient life, as was the fifth. The sixth to ten were comprised of gas and were huge.

A huge news was announced, the first moon landing was done by Frontier Commonwealth, containing three astronauts, to one of Sarx's moons (there are two moons orbiting Sarx, and both of them are round.). The astronauts in question arrive at the first of Sarx's moon, Barry.

1964: A new type of music emerges from Legane City; rock and roll. The music genre takes the capitalist world by storm. In Jenniferia, the music is also incredibly popular, but the government cracks down on it, concerned that the music is a propaganda tool of dissidents abroad.... to which they are not entirely wrong. Rock and roll musicians sing about controversial new topics for music, including some very explicitly political stuff, like support for the democratic government-in-exile. There just seems to be so much more... freedom in Legane City than in the LCJ.

In Minisha, the First WASPS taskforce is finally deployed. The troops hail from over 30 countries, only one of which Zaranist though, and are strictly tasked with protecting civilians in refugee camps. Both sides in the war are committing unspeakable atrocities to each other and civilians on a regular basis by now, but this year the fighting is inconclusive, but the long-term momentum seems clearly on the side of the Zaranists.

Del-Kasha's East Republic stops giving humanitarian aid to the west side after continued RAD pressure. This move backfires when the disease disappears 3 months later from the west side, prompting accusations that the east had been actively killing the west's Zaranists.

The astronauts from the moon landing do a world tour. They are greeted by heads of states everywhere, and it appears literally everyone wants to meet them. This includes the LCJ, where they stop in Southvalen (the capital), Alexi's Fortress, Newdove and Aeri. Later the astronauts will comment that Zaranist architecture is really not to their liking.

WAIHA scientists being trials of a vaccine for the new strain of Portbarry fever. The vaccine is 95% successful, but has a 3% chance of causing a debilitating condition called Crickogenic dystrophy, colloquially known as known as "the Crickens".

In a snap election in Helaxion, the Sylax Democracy Peoples gain seats in the Assembly for the first time.

Several delegate attacks occur this year, killing nearly 200 people in Helaxion, including some influential SDP politicians. In response to the huge influx of migrants from the LCJ to Snowflake, the LCJ builds a "new Alexi's Wall for protection against the Snowflake aggressors". The guns on the wall, however, are notably pointed in and not out. Technology continues to advance. Mechanical computers had been around in Qasittuq in the 1700s and beyond, but one Qasittuq citizen decides to attempt to implement the large and clunky mechanical systems in Qasittuq's primitive computers using electricity.
1967: The investigation is halted abruptly for "classified reasons" despite Vellingsor advocating for a continued investigation. Meanwhile, the last major Imperial Mishinan Army unit is defeated, although guerilla warfare will continue. The so-called "Del-Kashan Mess" reaches a breaking point when Frontier forces invade East Del-Kasha, occupying the nation. In response, Del-Kashan rebels begin using terrorist tactics similar to the actions of the delegates and SDP.
1968: The Mishinan Democratic Republic also falls. A referendum is held in Legane City and an overwhelming majority decide to make the area independent as the Republic of Jenniferia. The Snowflake government agrees to make the city independent once its new government is created. The WASPS refuse to withdraw from the area due to the continuing chaos and guerilla warfare. Meanwhile, the first home computer, the H800, is sold in Qasittuq.
1969: The Republic of Jenniferia is proclaimed. However, it is usually known as Legane City to distinguish it from the rest of Jenniferia. Some Leganians and Portbarrians are even more nationalist and want Portbarry and Legane to unite, but no official government decision has been made on this subject yet. The new Republic of Legane City quickly develops a reputation as an anarcho-liberal utopia, as the city's mostly Jenniferian population put their political ideas into votes. Meanwhile, the WAIHA comes up with an ambitious goal: eradicating Portbarry fever.

The Snowflake government agrees to make the city independent once its new government is created. The WASPS refuse to withdraw from the area due to the continuing chaos and guerilla warfare.
1969: The Republic of Jenniferia is proclaimed. However, it is usually known as Legane City to distinguish it from the rest of Jenniferia. Some Leganians and Portbarrians are even more nationalist and want Portbarry and Legane to unite, but no official government decision has been made on this subject yet. The new Republic of Legane City quickly develops a reputation as an anarcho-liberal utopia, as the city's mostly Jenniferian population put their political ideas into votes.

1970: Portbarry fever sweeps the world again... but this time, it's a sexual revolution. Men and women have had the right to vote for over a century now (on and off more or less) but now the equalisation accross society begins in earnest. An Atalian being elected to president in the country this year also opens up a revolution on minority rights as well.

Legane City joins RAD, and seals the deal with the purchase of 100 top of the line Sigil Coast fighter jets.

East Del-Kasha agrees to become a protectorate of the Frontier Commonwealth. The Frontier agrees and withdraws troops.

The last Minishan emperor is killed as the last imperial stronghold falls. The man personally slaughtered dozens of Zaranists but the end result by now is inevitable. The last guerrilla remnants of the Imperial side surrender, ending the bloodshed.

Meanwhile Vellingsor is bankrolled by RAD to continue the investigation.

Peace in Minisha and resolution of the conflict in Del-Kasha brings the VDC to 31 minutes.

1971: Portbarry becomes the latest nation to put a satellite into orbit, with Exilor 1 being launched from the Universalis Military Testing site in Telvarsland.

Notching unveils plans for an ambitious space-based defence system, but the plans are widely ridiculed, as they appear to be taken verbatim from a science fiction film that aired on television three nights before.

At Tenstelvon Nuclear Power Station in Sigilite, a malfunction in the reactor control systems results in a meltdown, causing radioactive material to be thrown into the atmosphere, spreading with the winds.

1972: Fortunately the emergency containment systems absorbed most of the radiation. However, 23,000 people are evacuated before everyone realizes that the amount of radiation coming out was harmless. This, however, draws attention to the dangers of nuclear weapons, and an official meeting is held in Telvarsland to discuss a non-proliferation treaty. No treaty is signed but the leaders of the world do leave with some less formal agreements and with the plan to meet again in Lampadia in 1974. Because of this the VDC is now at 34 minutes to sunset.
Meanwhile, the H800 computer spreads across the world. While large, bulky, and quite expensive, it is still the first computer to be widely used practically. Meanwhile, government researchers in Qasittuq begin working on a "classified navigational aid project". (Qasittuq was several hundred years ahead of other nations back in the 1500s, and while their technological advantage has shrunk due to their lack of raw materials they still are home to some of the world's best scientists.) Conspiracy theorists, of course, disagree. After all, why would a navigation-related project need to launch satellites? Some suggest that this is a plan to contact aliens, others think it's mind control. The research actually really is about "navigational aid" and will eventually develop into an equivalent of GPS.
Legane City and Portbarry begin to plan to reunite as the Third Jenniferian Confederation, to be known as North Jenniferia to distinguish it from Zaranist Jenniferia. The king will be purely ceremonial. The reunion is planned to be completed in 1975, but political changes may postpone the reunification or stop it entirely.

1973: A mostly uneventful year, but it must said the Zaranist world is slowly but surely getting to a schism. Sigilite, as the founding nation of Zaranism, has so far claimed responsibility for leadership of the Zarintern.

The problem is that Notching is a vastly larger and (thanks to peacetime) more prosperous country. Some claim that actually Notching should lead the Zarintern to reflect these realities.

As of yet, little is occurring, and 1973 is going down as a noring year, these things are brewing....
