Do any of y'all like mobile gaming? What's your favorite mobile game? What sorts of games are you playing?

What phone do you have and what's your OS?

I've been playing "guns of infinity" it's a very interesting interactive adventure. That new Mario game is all the rage, but I prefer the original super Mario Bros 3 on the emulator.. I don't always have a chance to use a computer given my lifestyle ATM, so I spend a lot of time on my phone. How do you feel about your cell phone, and its OS? what sort of things do you usually do on it?

I have a Google Pixel and im running Android 7.11. nougat. I use T-Mobile. I prefer Android because of the freedom it gives me. And emulator. Android is also great because of the Google ecosystem.

Android is so much better than it used to be. Google music is a worthwhile subscription and Google assistant is amazing. Cell phones are integral to our modern Western lifestyle.

As a 90s kid, it just blows my mind what you can do with a phone these days. My first computer was a 4gb windows 98 computer I played Warcraft 2 on. Now I can play it on my phone. Nokia was the first cell phone we had, with snake. Circa 1999-2000.

What was your first experience with cell phones?

Iphone, iOS 10. Needed both a new phone and a new iPod, it was the logical choice.
Play SW: Galaxy of Heroes a lot. Also managed to get a non-jailbreak GBA emulator on, so I've been Nuzlocke challenging Pokemon Fire Red.

iPhone SE. I have a couple of games on it, but the one I usually play is just Tetris. I don't like gaming on my phone.

I mean, I don't like gaming at all on any phones. I prefer just using actual consoles or my computer.

Yeah, the screen is small, and when you concentrate your eyes on it, they hurt.

I have a Sony Xperia...something or other. E5 possibly. Does the job satisfactorily, and the rounded edges are nice. I only play Pokémon Go on it, for casual nostalgia.

Good for gaming. It has its own controller, doesn't it?

I know. It's a phone with buttons designed to be used as a controller.

Maybe I've got the wrong model, then, because this thing in my pocket doesn't have a controller.

Moto G3 running 6.0 Marshmallow. I prefer to game on my PC and consoles, so the only game I have on my phone is one that teaches about the crappy things that go into smartphone manufacturing.

Otherwise most of my apps are media (Netflix, CBC Radio) or messaging (FB Messenger, Signal, Discord, IRC).

My second smartphone (and first one actually capable) was the LG Thrill. To this day it remains my favorite and longest lasting phone. I for one do not understand why stereoscopic 3D phones failed, I loved that phone and that was my favorite option on it. When its charge port finally gave out after over two years, the phone company refused to fix the (easily replaced) port, and the insurance no longer carried the model. Today, Samsung Gear VR's stereoscopic 3D on the Galaxy S7 Edge still does not approach the detail, versatility, and shareability of the LG Thrill's 3D mode.

No. Unless you by "mobile" you mean "on my 17" laptop".

What phone do you have and what's your OS?

WP10.

How do you feel about your cell phone,

I hate needing one.

and its OS?

Does what I need it to do. I also find touchscreens to be an incredibly stupid idea.

what sort of things do you usually do on it?

Phone calls, SMS, email, some surfing. Occasionally Skype or taking photos, using it as a mobile wifi router.

I'm a dinosaur still armed with a BlackBerry. I'm currently using my third Q10. I can feel it's getting obsolete, but I still consider it the best option for me. When it breaks down, I'll likely switch to a basic cell phone with a battery that lasts a week. The only things I use a phone for are making calls, sending texts, organizing time with a calendar and checking the Internet (but it's pretty much turning me into a tech slave).

I still use a radio buzzer instead of in-phone alarms, yes. My cat's learned to turn it on to catch my attention.

I mainly play this browser-based game called NationStates. Usually, the response I get from the general public is "what's that?", or every so often, "that server is still online?" Well, yes. :)

Motorola Photon Q running Android. Service is on a really inexpensive plan on a Sprint MVNO. I also have a deactivated AT&T-network-locked Lumia 635 from when I tried an AT&T MVNO and decided I didn't like that MVNO. At least they're no-contract prepaid services. I do have to say that I do happen to like using Windows Phone more than I like using Android despite the fact Windows Phone is virtually dead.

According to the battery screen, my most-used apps are the phone dialer, web browser, and text messaging. Well, maybe switch places of the first two. :)

My first personal experience with a cell phone was an Ericsson LX700 on Consumer Cellular (yes, the company that now markets to senior citizens) way back before they were the 'cell phones for senior citizens' company. I used to pay around $23/month including taxes for 60 minutes a month and a higher number of night and weekend minutes (although I don't remember the number of the night and weekend minutes).

+1. I miss having access to a land line despite the drawbacks to land lines.

I think the worst part about cell phones these days is that before it wasn't expected for you to have a cell phone for work. Nowadays, you'll get called on your cell phone for work.
