You can get the costumes of a lot of past Links through Amiibo

You can also get Wolf Link

I have slain the most dangerous beast in post-apocalyptic Hyrule!!

I killed (like, legit "drops loot" killed, not "ancient arrow annihilation" killed) a goddamned white-maned fucking Lynel! It took me some three days in game time, over an hour IRL (I know because Mipha's Grace had time to recharge at least twice... and I NEEDED it!), but I was able to wear the bastard down thanks to the lay of the land at the eastern Lanaryu Gate before you head up into Naydra snowfield. Basically ninja'd my way up onto the bluffs above him, paraglided onto his back, hacked away like a madman until I was thrown off, and then ran like hell for the gate and hid out of line-of-sight while dodging a hail of arrows until he lost aggro and wandered off. For the record, sweeeeet weapon/bow/shield drops as well as the rare monster parts.

Game stats thus far:
-3 Divine Beasts down
-92 shrines completed
-Something like 280 Korok seeds obtained (I heard somewhere that there's 900 total, but allegedly you only need about 400 to max out your inventory.)
-Master Sword GET!
-Memories questline COMPLETE! (Also, OW, game gutpunched me in the feels again. T_T )

Also, you can sometimes get special weapons from the loot drops you can get via Amiibo. So far I've gotten the Biggoron's Sword and the Twilight Bow (the latter of which is awesome- the light arrows fly straight, no bullet drop!)

... I also have a plot bunny gnawing at me for a goofy comedy one-shot fanfic thanks to the

"all the guys hit on Link in vai clothing" train of thought colliding with the "Lizalfos are actually kinda adorable when they see you wearing the Lizalfos mask" train of thought.

Basically a one-shot from the perspective of a Lizalfos before it gets ambushed by Link.

I've seen a couple of those white Lynels, but didn't dare approach them just yet. I have enough trouble with the regular variety who I swear are tougher than the bosses.

Been playing this for over a month now and am still barely at that halfway mark. I would have beat most other Zelda games at this point, but I still have a long ways to go.

I only have the Guardian, BotW Zelda, and 8-Bit Link amiibos for the Zelda ones. I have gotten some nice drops from the Guardian and Zelda, but nothing that I couldn't otherwise find in the game elsewhere. Is there a trick to do in order to get rare drops from them?

Seems to be entirely random thus far. I've got the Smash Link, Zelda, Gannondorf, and Shiek as well as the OoT Link and Wolf Link Amiibos. Still need to get the 8-bit and the actual BotW ones here. Still, even the not-so-rare chest drops from them are nice, part of why I've got such a stockpile of elemental arrows. XD

I've killed two of those silver lynels, the best way I found to whittle down their health is to try for a bunch of flurry rushes, and pop them in the face with a bomb arrow when they are vulnerable (preferably after their fire blasts). They'll be stunned for a couple of minutes, and you can get some good hits in.

There are variations, but yeah. Then again, the not-plot-important Zoras all look very much alike, same with the Gorons. The Hylians probably have the greatest variety, but they're also probably the most populous group you encounter so giving them more variety is kinda a necessity.

So I've recently been playing the game a lot cuz my friend got a Switch. Does anyone else remember, like 2014 when Nintendo showed us the clip with Link on the horse riding away from the Guardian? And the guardian got rekt? Did anyone else, like, piss themselves with excitement?

Also just saying, there's a Dark Link Set that you dont need an amiibo for.

Dude, to be honest, I don't think Nintendo even remembers they made a timeline. I've heard many theories about where BotW fits into the timeline, but they all have flaws. Lemme TL;DR them.

Why are there Rito?
Why do the Zora look like that?
Why are there Koroks?!

Why is the Master Sword in a forest covered by fog, just like in ALttP?

There's no way that would still be recognizable after thousands of years, especially if it was underwater for most of that time.
