While conversing in another thread, it hit me. Why is there no thread for the CW's weekly overdose of superhero shows? Well, there is now! Welcome to the Arrowverse discussion thread.

You beat me to it. I was wondering why there's no thread for the Arrowverse.

Interestingly enough, I never got into Arrow. I was into The Flash first, then Legends, then Supergirl. I only watch Arrow when there's crossovers.

Also, Matt Smith and/or Karen Gillan totally need to star in an Arrowverse show seeing how Arthur Davill, John Barrowman, and Alex Kingston have all had roles on the series.

I got into them in the order they appeared in. Supergirl later than usual, cause the CBS first season was schlock. I gave up after 3 episodes, then went back and suffered through the rest when they moved it to the CW.

They should have had Supergirl on The CW in the first place and it would have been better off for it. The second season has been way better than the first.

Quite. Cause let's be real, CBS Supergirl was just a rom-com with a DC license.

Oh my God, Arrow.
Black Canary Jr. just happens to be named Dinah too? Oi.

True.

At least the romances in season two are enjoyable, for the most part. Alex and Maggie are a likable and realistic couple, and I like what they're building up with J'onn and the White Martian. Although the romance they're building up with Kara and Mon-El is rather dull. You can see that one coming from a mile away. Yawn.

I, with little knowledge on the DC Universe, actually thought that the Black Canary jr. was going to be Talia. I mean, they reveal Talia in the past, then Oliver says he has an idea for a candidate, so I figured that she was going to be in the present :p

I'm guessing we're keeping stuff from new episodes in spoilers? I never understood why we do that. This is a discussion thread, after all. If you don't want spoilers, don't come to a discussion thread.

I know. But that's just how it works. Though I tend to let people post spoiler free after 24 hours.

I love these shows. Unfortunately, I can't watch them as they come out and can only see them on DVD. So, I'm always a season behind. D:

You obviously have the internet. Just watch them online.

With a limited data plan, that's not a good idea.

Important question...

Is Supergirl a part of the Arrowverse? Because technically they are in two different universes. :P

Love the CW DC shows. Weird, though, started with the Flash really late and some episodes didn't make sense when they talked about Arrow, After I finished with Flash I went to Arrow, suddenly realized there's Supergirl as well but got kind of confused again because it was on CBS instead of the CW. I actually thought Legends was boring so I started way later but it was actually really interesting. I'm all caught up except Arrow.

Also is it just me or has Arrow been really dull for the past couple of seasons?

Not anymore. Hell, they did a big ass crossover event where she teamed with Arrow, Flash and Legends. Anytime they want, they just pop over to her Earth to enlist her aid or vice-versa.

I think they've been getting better about it. I do enjoy New Team Arrow...except for Curtis. Who really needs to build the T-Spheres already, so he can stop being useless.

I mean I'm not really caught up this season but the few episodes I've seen have seemed pretty thrown together (although that might be because I saw them without the context of the previous episodes). Curtis of the team actually seems like my favorite, with Rag-man (or whatever his name is) seeming kind of weird to me.

Rory Regan, apparently. I know the other guy's nickname is like Wild Dog but don't know his actual name either.

Rene. Who really needs an updated costume. Looks like Casey Jones cousin.

I know right his costume looks so weird.

Speaking of which, when are we gonna see some inter-dimensional speedster team up? We haven't seen Jesse in a while and it'd be great to see her reaction to Wally/Kid Flash.

Whenever Harry 2 shows back up, I imagine. He'll probably get kidnapped or something, and she'll pop over to regular Earth for help. if he ever does show back up, I hope he stays. I hate H.R. so goddamn much.

H.R. doesn't even do anything. Like what's the point of him even being there? Without him the show would progress normally, just without his useless commentary. Tbh Harry was the best version of him.

Would love to see Jay Garrick/Flah, Barry/Flash, Wally/Kid Flash, and Jesse all together at once though. Would be one hell of a team up.

The Flash is boring and worse than the Arrow. And it doesn't make as much sense.
But then the Arrow got boring. Now they're just milking it.
Oliver's real superpower isn't that he's accurate with a bow, it's that he can dodge bullets like a pro.

Really? Flash is my favorite at the moment. I like Legends, but sometimes I feel like they're just leftovers that wouldn't fit in well with Arrow and Flash. I like Supergirl too, but it's way too unrealistic, even for a show based on aliens and people with superhuman abilities. Arrow I liked, especially seasons one and two, but it started to go downhill from there. Now I think that the only reason they're keeping it alive is so that the rest of the Arrowverse isn't affected, with Oliver and friends never showing up again.
