Catching up on episodes (think I've fallen four or five weeks behind). That Prometheus reveal was just...ugh.

I'm praying for some kind of twist whereby there's a man behind the man or two Prometheuses (Promethei?), or something, because this is just too damn obvious.

I was recently given the first season of this show, is it worthy watching?

Yes. Especially when they dispense with that weird realistic approach they had early on, and just go full superhero.

Eh, the musical was reasonably fun. It's no Buffy, though.

Also, has it struck anyone else how different Matt Letscher's Thawne is from Tom Cavanagh's? I like him, but the writers/directors don't even seem to be trying for the creep factor of Evil!Wells, to the point that they feel like totally different characters (when Thawne mentioned Cisco in the Moon episode, I was like "Oh yeah, he's supposed to be that guy!").

Kinda surprised to see a thread for the Arrowverse. I have seen the first three seasons of Arrow as well as the first season of Flash, a bit of Supergirl and a few eps of Legends.

My favorite season so far was season 2 of Arrow. Loved the Supergirl/Flash crossover too.

Do we have a DCEU discussion thread?

This needs to be fixed.

Or maybe we should wait until WW or else the thread would just be swarmed by hordes of commenters offering their way to 'save' the 'doomed' DCEU.

Well to be fair, DCEU is kind of doomed with their rotten scored-movies.

Not when they make 2 billion with 3 films. Rotten Tomatoes is hardly the be all judge of what is good.

Yes, but when you compared it with MCU...well.

I prefer the MCU to the DCEU, but the Arrowverse is far better than Marvel TV.

Cause the Arrowverse knows how to be fun every now and then. Every Marvel TV show is a total downer.

Yes, me too, though the fact that I'm a total DC fan conflicting me.

Arrowverse at the very least have fair shares of actions and drama. Marvel TV has more drama and less action on the basis. To me, anyway. Netflix is quite good, better than Marvel TV.

Legion is a good one, despite being a joint Fox-Marvel TV.

Comparing 3 DCEU films to what, 14 MCU films is hardly fair. I prefer to keep comparisons in perspective. Comparing where the DCeU is now to where MCU was with 3 films DCEU is arguably doing better. At least as well as.

What metric are you using to make this claim? Because even the very forgettable Hulk film and disappointing Iron Man sequel did significantly better with the critics than the first three DC films (one average, two panned). Even with audiences, the MCU films still clearly come out on top.

Based on the critic ratings, I agree. I haven't seen the DCEU films yet, though, so I can't really have an opinion for this one. Plus, why can't you like both?

Assuming critics are the final authority on this matter sure. But you yourself just stated the Hulk fim was forgettable and Iron Man 2 was disappointing. As I said before audience and critics are not united in judging the DCEU. The fact is Movie for movie DC has been more succrssful and that is DESPITE critics.

Anyway, sorry to derail the topic slightly. I will consider making a DCEU thread to discuss the topic.

So, we have three metrics: critic reviews, audience reviews, and financial success. The MCU wins two of these (the two that are likely the best indicators of quality, incidentally), and on this basis, the DCEU is doing "as well as or better"?

Yes, but on the bright side, the thread is very active.

Okay, point of complaint: this entire season of Arrow could have been resolved by the Flash in five minutes.

It's probably a good idea to have new threads for both the MCU and the DCEU to avoid getting off-topic here.

Flash and Supergirl are back on this week. I'm really starting to hate these long breaks shows are taking these days.

Yeah, but then there wouldn't have been any plot. In that case, How could anyone with superspeed be taken out with a blow dart (when they went to rescue Harry from the gorillas)?

I agree, on both points. The hiatus breaks kind of ruin the suspense, because I would've forgotten some of the events of the past episodes if I hadn't watched the reruns. Also, the whole season two of Legends was on Netflix just a week after the finale, so I can finally catch up on pretty much the whole last season of Arrow.
