This is why I like Wally's Flash better.

He never mopes about or breaks down questioning if he's good enough to do the job or not, he just goes about his day helping whoever he can in any way he can.

Also, they updated their interface and it's STILL terrible. Does it remember the shows I'm watching now? Haha, no, silly rabbit. It does remember all the Seed shows it tries to get me to watch after I watch the one current shows.

Does it have a uniform order between shows? What do you think this is, Communist China? No! Legends has the latest episode listed on top, Batwoman on the bottom. Oh, bonus points, the only real measure I had for if it's a new episode is the date it aired...so they got rid of that so I can live a life of adventure.

They're only saving grace is that there is no good streaming app interface, they're all bad in their own way.

Whose idea was it to make the whole thing into a full hour episode?

And it seems like they couldn't decide if they wanted to make it a straight 'Christmas special' that exists in universe so to speak (as in the characters in Legends could have watched the exact same thing as we did) or a parody of Christmas specials. I got bored enough that I don't really know if there was a nod or wink towards the Arrowverse itself. Which...would have worked a bit, really. If the Beebo special was a special in the world of the Arrowverse it would be a Christmas story from a world with superheroes in it, which could reasonably effect the way they portray shit. But not always so, whatever.

Anyway, too much of not enough of a decision.

I guess it was cheaper to go for 40some minutes of animation instead of 22 rather than try and find something else to ill out the remaining half hour of Legends' spot.

I try not to throw 'Mary-Sue' out a lot...but this girl is a Mary-Sue like bad. A skateboarding, multi-lingual, loved by the whole town, comic book reading, bisexual space alien.

Well, she rode a skateboard, she wasn't exactly doing kickflips through town square. I think the multilingual thing is supposed to be exceptional and explained by her space alienness. Bisexual is neither here nor there. It's just as much a choice as to make her anything else.

Being popular for being a Superman megafan is a little weird but clearly they got a whole...thing...going on for that.

It's Eva Duvornay this time instead of whatshisname, we're just getting wish fulfillment from a different angle. I mean, they're using Superman as their alagory, you know the strongest fastest most specialist person in the whole fucking universe.

Which is not to say I was engaged with the show. I could give a fuck about notions like 'mary sue' (the term has been too abused to make me ever care when people use it), but the exposition tour took too long before a story started to happen so I kinda tuned out and never fully tuned back in. I'll still watch it with about as much enthusiasm as I have for anything else going on at the WB now which all seem kinda dated now but they are old shows from the before times when you had to come up with explanations for superhero nonsense.

Spent the last few days catching up on stuff.

Namoi is growing on me. Still a little high school and I don't like the buck-toothed girl with the purple hair, but it's picking up.

Superman And Lois is still good. Could do without this infidelity subplot, but I'm digging the Bizarro story and the crazy cult lady.

I was completely indifferent to the Batwoman finale. But at least Alice appears to finally be gone. Now I just pray she stays gone.

And I still gotta catch up on Legends.
