The sieging part where you have to use artillery to effectively siege the fort and makes the battle a lot easier?

No one can run HoI4 well, that's the main problem. Even the ones who have 16GB of RAM and the recommended video graphics and processor cannot run it well. The issue is with the engine, it's old, and the fact that AI in HoI4 produces many divisions as many as they can even when they don't have enough equipment.

The furthest I can go so far is 1943 but that's with the speed of the game crawling to speed number 1 even though I set the speed number to 4 or 5. And that's within the range of recommended/minimum system requirements.

Actually, I've had an issue with HOI4 several times where when the game's loading up, it just stops doing anything and I have to restart it.

Even though I've validated my files several times and reinstalled it.

It usually works fine on the second try, though.

That's a problem it shares with CK2. You start clicking on the load screen, it crashes. Just don't touch it...
