I didnt do a democratic germany, but i did do a communist one and my first steps were to take over Austria, then hit Fascist italy and take them out. They tend to get very little support due to being surrounded by democracies and other kinds, no other fascists around to help them, and japan did not get involved for me.

Holy. Crap.
France is amazing.
Sure, the German Empire and the buttcheek part of Italy are leering at me, but a dose of Custer tactics* should fix the issue. I also have sooo many allies that even if I didn't keep throwing divisions into the manpower sink (because no command limits) that is 3rd Army, I'd be good.
*throw infantry at them until they run out of men

You got me to revist the mod and starting in the Fire Nation bookmark (or the first one with the FN in it, the one where the Islands are still fractured) I have gone to unite almost all the islands save for a few spots. Then I plan on invading the Southern Air Temple and Southern Water Nation before taking on the Earth Nation. Maybe the other Air and Water tribes.
