I stopped playing Paradox games a long while ego, I love their games to bits tho but the clausewitz engine doesn't really help on my gaming PC. So I stopped funding their games cause after 500 DLC's and many games with the same engine I just can't anymore.

I especially loved stellaris but the 1000 Star galaxy's is broken and my rig can't handle the 400 Ones even with a 1070 GTX X MSI card.

Just so you guys know, there's currently a dev version of Elder Kings that functions in 2.7.x. Link. It's not fully finished, and still a bit glitchy, but from what I've played the guilds have been incorporated into the Monks and Mystics style nicely, and artifacts galore...

Right so, in my Stellaris game the Prethoryn arrived. Figured it would be them because the event did say that they were travelling towards our galaxy. Because I'm Psionic I can talk to them, and I REALLY want the Hunter lore to be expanded upon. It says they're coming for our galaxy too, so I really have to wonder what they truly are.

EDIT: Also holy fuck the slowdown is real

EDIT AGAIN: The first great battle of the First Galactic War ended in hundreds of thousands, if not millions of casualties. Hundreds of ships were destroyed or damaged. A difficult blow for the Slavers to recover from.

For the first time, I have encountered a custom empire in Stellaris. Apparently they're a migratory flock. Good job me.

That's a rather fun event, I think. Once I let them colonize a rather inhospitable world in my borders, then annexed the planet as soon as their military fleet left the system.

Probably the best Paradox experience I have had so far:

In my latest CK2 game, I have been playing as the Lord of the Seven Kingdoms of Spain for some time, and have only just recently conquered enough of the Iberian peninsula to form the Empire of Hispania. France has shown me little mercy, and we have bashed each others' teeth in repeatedly over the interior of Spain.

As my current ruler, Velaris II, I decided to get frisky with the princess of England, who was also my kinsman's wife. I gave her two sons and a daughter that he thought were his, and he gave her none. Some time after the princess's brother inherited the throne, she usurped it for herself. Now, since she was married to a kinsman in my court, the princess was also in my imperial court when she usurped the Kingdom of England. That left me with quite a big surprise. A very big and pleasant surprise.

Later on, when my wife died of old age, I conspired to murder my lover's husband and got away with it entirely. And the 71-year-old emperor and his 39-year-old queen lived happily ever after.

The only complaint I have is that I am unable to declare her children my own. After all, they are already part of my dynasty, and now their births are legitimized by wedlock! :P

Part 2 to the post above, since apparently this game wasn't done with me yet.

Literally a couple in-game months after that post, my ruler dies and I switch to his 50-something son, who had been busy waging war against North African sultans. I decide to marry him to the same queen of England his father had married just a few months earlier (since she is still younger than him and he already has plenty of kids). I grant the eldest son some major holdings, give the other one a duchy, and otherwise split things up to satisfy the demesne cap.

Then I ride into battle to finish the war that the AI had already nearly won for me, and I die in the one battle I need to win. That guy's son becomes emperor and immediately conquers Morocco. Then I repeat the entire process, except this time I search for a good wife, because this new emperor has no children, and my younger brother is only happy with me because he loved our father so much.

I'm going to bed. CK2 is getting weird.

Yeah it does that, it can get weird, and then weirder than weird.

So i have formulated a new campaign to play on the side to my MRGA campaign. I will take control of a custom character, Rogar Bolton in the aftermath of the death of Valyria. A reincarnation of the last of the Red Kings it will be my goal to make the Starks pay for making the Dreadfort bend the knee. I have already launched a few revolts to lower crown authority to its lowest, capturing and skinning King Brandons wife alive as a warning. It makes a nice coat.
