To make it clear: this is what a meme is:
MEME

1. an element of a culture or system of behaviour passed from one individual to another by imitation or other non-genetic means.
2. an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by Internet users, often with slight variations.

Memes come in many shapes and sizes, in many forms or formats. There's visual memes, like the classic pepe, visual memes, like 'We are Number One' edits, and so on. They come from many places, like 4Chan, Tumblr or Reddit. Some just spawn instantaneously out of pure magical memedust****.

Some discussion to start us off: What will be the final meme of 2016? Will it be the new and upcoming "Delete the middle two panels and all dialogue from the fourth panel of a 'ctr+alt+del' comic'? Will it be, as some recently suggested, "Warewolves"? Is it some meme as yet undiscovered? Or is it the ol' classic, "What will be the last meme of 2016?." I'll make a poll out of the first bunch of suggestions.

"FUCKING 2016!" and variations on that theme have been gaining solid traction throughout the year. With just a few more weeks to go and an unknown number of upcoming celebrity and other big-name deaths that could still happen between now and 2017, that's what I'm putting my money on.

Seriously. Fuck this year. It's clearly faulty due to manufacturer's defect, I would like to exchange it for a functional one.

It's semi-mainstream right now but who knows, it could jump into the wider web and become our final meme of the year.
