Honestly, I'm going to sit in a corner here and proclaim that the Percy Jackson series is my favorite.

Some of my favorite books/book series are 1984, Cujo, Salem's lot, the Earthsea series, Lord of the Rings, the Silmarillion, the Great Gatsby, Macbeth, Malazan Book of the Fallen. the saga of Darren Shan and way more but my favorite still somehow ends up being the Percy Jackson series. I don't know if it's because I'm a sucker for Greek mythology but Riordan does a great modern take of mythology as well as throwing in some lovable characters with a light-hearted story that contains elements of tragedy.

Kitzerland wrote:I'm seeing all these famous pieces of literature, and feeling bad. My favorite is the Dark Tower series, especially the middle ones.

Can I join the club? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Hot Zone

"Militannia the Eternal"

Nations have risen and fallen like waves in the sea
Such a fate will never befall our mighty country
For the strength of our leader,
the strength of our people,
the strength of our military will NEVER falter
and will NEVER become like the calm sea!

Our Rise
Our Ascension
Our Conquest
Never questioned
For we are immortals!

To Militannia
the Eternal!

Not necessarily a book but ''The Call of Cthulhu'' or ''Shadow Over Innsmouth'' by H.P. Lovecraft.

Non-fiction: Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources by Martin Lings (Indonesian translation)
Fiction: A Storm of Swords. Rather hard to choose; I, too, love the previous two ASOIAF books (I haven't read A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons).

A tie between the Lays of Beleriand or the Silmarillion. (Specifically the Lay of Leithan and "Of Beren and Luthien")

Percy Jackson

Postby TheAthenianEmpire » Fri Feb 03, 2023 2:17 pm

My favorite book is the whole Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series! I love them both! (If anyone has ever seen the official Percy Jackson art by Viria, he is so hot!) I also like Michael Vey and the Renegades Trilogy!
