Sadly, this doesn't do much for me. Seems pretty repetitive on first listen, not enough of that aggressive "charging into battle" feeling I look for from AA. Hopefully there will be some songs I like more on the album.

Meanwhile I liked it more than basically all of Jomsviking

I didn't care for Jomsviking (or Deceiver of the Gods) very much either actually, aside from "First Kill" - which is a great song.

He made some good music, but he's also known for being one of the most insufferable jerks in the whole industry

Let be honest here: that perfectly describes, like, half the entertainment industry in general.

Cleared my backlog enough to get round to the newest Mesarthim album; the techno elements seem to be better integrated with every release and the whole thing has a bit of a darker tone than the past few releases. Good stuff and I think it's the sort of music that could be enjoyed by anyone who isn't turned off in principle by harsh indecipherable vocals.

Awesome song. I like that they have that good old intense heavy metal chorus combined with that pretty nice refreshing vocals.

Cosumar PSA:
Cryptopsy's Blasphemy Made Flesh is the sickest and filthiest of the classic OSDM albums. I've loved the legendary "Open Face Surgery" long time (dat record-setting scream), but FUCK... I underestimated how unrelentingly awesome the rest of the album would be too! It oozes catchy, dirty riffs front-to-back. Check it out, y'all.

I guess now I have to finally check it out. I doubt it'll beat None So Vile though.

Just listened to Bismarck and WOW the standard has gone down the toilet if this is considered a great Sabaton song.

What exactly do you consider bad about it?

Bad? Nothing. It's just not this great song people have been touting it as. Just lacking all around.

I'm not sure the First Amendment covers totally wrong opinions like these.

Oh well then I can see your point. It does feel a little less fast paced and intense compared to older Sabaton song and I can see why it might be a bit weak compared to older Sabaton song.

Video was funny enough but the song itself fell a bit short for me.

Been on a bit of a hunt for good atmospheric BM albums of late and come up with a few good finds that I'd thought I'd share... all the links are to the full album on youtube.

Grima - Tales of the Enchanted Woods
Massenhinrichtung - The Last Bird of Hope
Ledas - My Spirit Around Me Night And Day

Still better than the average Dethklok song, though.

Better than the average Dethklok song after the first album. I liked the first one a lot.
