I think over the past couple months, Accept's Balls to the Wall has become one of my new favorite albums. I've heard some people think it's overrated, but I think it's almost completely flawless (except for Losers and Winners, which is only OK).

I quite like Losers and Winners but Guardians of the Night not so much and Winter Dreams even less so. Overall I like Metal Heart a lot more and would call it a flawless Accept album. Hell, it's even my AotY 1985

I need to give a dedicated listen to that album. I think I'll do it later tonight.

I don't think I've seen anyone say it is overrated.

Accept for me is a band that can do serious or darker lyrics without turning into a boring whine-fest.

Out of those three, the latter is much better, the former is comparable, and I don’t know Deal With the Devil.

Not posted here for a while. This year I've mostly been obsessed by:

1990s shoegaze/metal crossover band BP.
Artificial Language's pretty lite-prog metal
Vexes bringing the nostalgia with some excellently executed Deftones-worship
And for a guilty pleasure...still 100% on board with the idol/metal craze

Damn that band does sound just like Deftones. With a bit of Meteora mixed in. That Artificial Language video was pretty nice too.

Ummmm Dragonforce did a cover of Evil Dead...and though you can argue whether it's good or not they somehow managed to fucking nail a Death song better than 90% of all Death covers. The arcade sounds at the end suck however.

So I gave a listen to Metal Heart, and I'd say it's good. It's more catchy and I feel like some of the aggression of the previous albums is gone. As well, there doesn't seem to be as many good riffs. However, Wolf Hoffmann's solos and guitar leads are still amazing.

Memoriam is good but it would great if not more if it weren't missing one of the best bass players in the world and if their talented drummer was allowed to be creative like he was for most of Bolt Thrower's albums.
