Did you squeal with delight?

More like despair, anguish, and other KVLT things. (Translation: Not quite but I was really excited.)

Looking forward to the Vexes album coming out next week. Sounds a lot like old-school Deftones, but the preview tracks grab me in a way the original never quite did.

And the most confusing video. It's about like soldiers from the 1500's, but the video is like WW2.

Most of the videos I've seen with it was about the Crusades...even though it's about the Swiss Guard protecting Pope Clement VII

Sounds like those are not official videos, otherwise Sabaton videos do not make sense by default.

They're not, but a lot of people like to associate the song with the Crusades.

And then they scream DEUS VULT and post their collection of crusader memes on Imgur?

Yep.

God, I hate it when that happens. It's better to sing along with Batushka and Zeal & Ardor, both rather spiritual bands with a dark twist.

Waiting ages for something decent to be released this year, and then two come along at once. Both feel like they'll be "growers" too.

Solstice - White Horse (epic folk doom)
Vexes - Ancient Geometry (alt metal/post-hardcore/post-metal)

Ooooh new Solstice. I'll definitely have to check that.

I ordered Lör's In Forgotten Sleep a month ago, but it hasn't shipped until this morning. I sent the band an email asking where my order was before today, and yesterday they sent me an email saying they were sorry for the wait and sent me an extra CD and some stickers for free.

I was so happy when I got that email, this is gonna be worth the wait

New Solstice!

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be good but it's not gonna top the debut which is the best doom metal album ever released. Imo ofc :p

EDIT: As expected, it was good.

I want a Lör sticker :(

Their music is becoming increasingly special to me. I would have gladly taken a delay for some extra swag, but unfortunately that’s pretty rare when you purchase the digital version... :p

Hot damn, look what Cozzie just found. Turns out that the classic Russian thrash metal album Extravasation by Aspid (Аспид) is available on Bandcamp for ANY PRICE!!! (yes, even exactly $0.00, if you so choose).

I've been trying to figure out a way to get ahold of this elusive album forever! Track 2 contains one of my favorite guitar solos ever, as some of you might recall from my Ultimate Guitar Solos RYM list a long time ago.

It was ok. Quite skippable despite a reviewer saying it's similar to Death, and Testament. Said reviewer is likely deaf.

Austrian Death Machine is nice for when you’re lifting at the gym.

Sorry I haven’t been posting much, been busy doing Army shit. I haven’t been keeping up on metal because I was stuck in basic training so I don’t really know much of anything.

It’s a parody band, they do the Schwarzenegger voice and have songs like “It’s Not a Tumor” or “Get to the Choppa.” The instrumentation is solid though, plenty of bass and headbanging potential.
