I was also just speculating as well, but after writing that post I realized it is just silly speculation. There are depressed people across pretty much any division, genre, country, etc. I didn't think I should bother editing my post or anything like that. Sorry about that.

Ok so..... I've listening to Hardcore Punk and many genres of Metal so much time. But I never really explored Doom Metal, can someone recommend me some good Doom Metal bands?
Also, anyone knows the band "Vaginal Penetration of an Amelus with a Musty Carrot"?, It's a true band, I am not joking here.

Sólstafir keeps on being consistent. The new album, Berdreyminn is around the same level as their previous albums. That being said, it's not amazing or great but passable.

I could also add "consistently inconsistent" because even though there are some songs that I love on Svartir Sandar, there are also some songs on it that I don't like much at all, making it overall just average.

Sounds decent enough. Even though they're technically not deathcore, The Browning, Dying Fetus and Jungle Rot might be to your liking as well.

Facile ideological dickwaving and posturing aside, I'm more into my progressive and atmospheric metal rather than the straight out aggressive stuff, only grind I can really get on with is Anaal Nathrakh, and they're hardly a pure example.

On which note, the new Wintersun is a bit of a yawnfest, long sections are boring and overblown. Thought he could get away with padding shit out again and just wanted to get the thing in the can so he could get back in the sauna I guess.

Grindcore, being a further evolution of the harsher side of punk, is not too terribly concerned with things such as purity. Anaal Nathrakh is a admirable example of that, given the way how they manage to combine and perfect elements of old Impaled Nazarene, Emperor and Napalm Death. Organized chaos never sounded so good, blackened death/grind for the win!

Disappointed to find out that Flag of Hate isn't making fun of nazis, especially considering they are from Germany and are a left-leaning thrash band (and the cover art looks like some sort of strasserist flag). However, this album is really awesome in terms of what actually matters, definitely 5 stars.

Look, you can't maintain a genre for decades by only releasing albums with hundreds of microsongs. That being said, it's amazing how many good songs need less than a minute to get the point across.

That's weird, I promise I'll stop "copying" you. I'll listen to something you never would, like Candlemass! Earlier I was just listening to some technical thrash like Sadus and Watchtower and was kind of disappointed with how wanky it was, and somehow ended up on Kreator, and really liked it. I've also been going through a Yngwie phase the past week or so, and I can see why he gets a lot of flak. His live performances always just end up being a wank fest, and while his studio stuff can be technical, it's more restrained and musical. Compare this to this. Or this to this.

That album was one of the best from 2015. I ordered their new album from this year without listening one single song from it. I have high hopes

I've been on a Metallica binge all day, so I feel curious to ask: Why do people think Lars is a bad drummer? I know he's a total nob personality wise, but I never got the slamming on his drumming. Course I don't know shit about drumming, so I probably don't know good from bad. Still though.

I honestly don't know either. Pretty much the only actual instance outside fan memes where I've heard he is a bad drummer is from Dave Mustaine's memoir where he said Lars was more enthusiastic than actually good, but that was in the early eighties and everyone knows how much on drugs Dave was back then.

I don't know shit about playing instruments either so I can't really say who's actually good or bad regardless of instrument, as long as it sounds good to me it's good.
