You only listened to one album in one year?

Probably more than most people listen to.

I tend to pick up and listen to loads of albums each year, but they're mostly not from that very year.

Gives you something to do. I tend to buy interesting cd's whenever the price is right, it's why my music collection never stops expanding.

I have been slacking at listening, but there's kind of been reasons for it. Been gaming a lot (About 119 hours in Starbound in the last 2 1/2 to 3 weeks)

Something amazing I found on reddit today.

Very strange, almost doom by the end. Blackened noise done right.

Most days of the year I listen to about three albums in a day, sometimes five. Maybe six or seven occasionally. But some days I don't listen to a full album. Altogether if I kept track I wouldn't be surprised if it was at least 400 albums a year, as long as you count re-listens because it's not like I'm getting that many new albums.

Yeah when I say I listened to about 175 or so albums a year I mean ones that come out that year. Add around 200 or so albums I've heard before or didn't come out in that year. I don't keep track of those.

Damn... 152???

I too made my first music purchase of 2017 today. Continuing to grow my baby vinyl collection:

Candlemass - Candlemass Live 1990 ($21 new)
Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Trilogy ($10 used)
Dan Fogelberg - The Innocent Age ($4 used)

Gonna go to a record store with a better metal selection later tonight and see if I can get my first extreme metal record.

When the genre is grindcore and the average length is 40 seconds it's not that big of a challenge :p

Listening to that album frequently would make for some really inflated Last.fm stats...

It's actually my most listened to album according to Last.fm with 561 plays, even though 40 songs are too short to be counted. The second highest album has 333 plays. But since it counts songs, not actual times I've listened to the album, I don't pay attention at all to those statistics.

I'm really liking Jute Gyte. Relistening to his latest album, Perdurance, right now.

It stays interesting, even if really weird.
