They sure do love their cliche buzzwords. And avoiding all new music.

By the way I'm playing Myfarog with some members of the campus Metal Club on off-weeks. It's so bloated and complex that I've improvised a lot of the shit but overall we're enjoying the silliness of Varg's ideas. Conan the Barbarian but even more racist. The magic spells are cool in an old-school fashion though.

For In Flames, I can do that.

Like most recent albums of theirs it's a bit of a cocktease. There are a surprising amount of moments that feel like a return to at least a Come Clarity or Soundtrack era but then something awful comes in. Also the lead guitar tone sounds really generic.

Thus far it seems like Animals as Leaders took the safe route. I was hoping for something darker and less soundtrack-y.
