wrong.. actually Sarcofago is what really started black metal. They took inspiration from Venom, yes, but Sarcofago further developed black metal and in turn, influenced the Scandinavian black metal bands we all know too well today. :p

Sarcofago? Stating that a Brazilian death/thrash metal band inspired the Scandinavian black metal explosion is a bold statement indeed. It is more commonly accepted that it was Bathory from Sweden who was the infernal instigator of the blackened shockwave.

Venom's influence has been seriously blown out of proportion. The vast majority of extreme metal's roots are owed to Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Sarcofago, and Bathory.

I would disagree with the specific claim of Sarcofago influencing "traditional" black metal but they have absolutely been instrumental in the creation of the noisier styles like war metal and lots of blackened thrash.

You'll want some real war metal for that. You'll want Bolt Thrower.

At least Sabaton sounds epic; Bolt Thrower is a boring snoozefest (ironic considering they play death metal) with a silly name.

I'm just saying their sound may have indeed influenced the Norwegian black metal scene of some sort. And yes. Sarcofago's first album was black metal.

I've been listening to a little Sabaton recently. They're quite good. I personally like Screaming Eagles partly because of the near continuous drums.

There really isn't any tbh. Metal is such a broad and diverse genre I can't help but laugh when people say they don't like metal, because I guarantee you there's some kind of metal - even if it's just one band, or one song even - that they like or will like if they gave it a shot.

Metal is for everyone.

Great lead single, I'm encouraged. Kinda reminds me of "The Last Stand". The chorus is up there with Sabaton's catchiest and the verses have great energy.

Sadly, this doesn't do much for me. Seems pretty repetitive on first listen, not enough of that aggressive "charging into battle" feeling I look for from AA. Hopefully there will be some songs I like more on the album.
