Ash will never actually improve as a trainer just like Spongebob will never graduate from boating school and David Banner will never find a cure for being the Hulk. The writers are too lazy to write another story for the show, so Ash Ketchum will always go around trying to be the Pokémon master but will always lose randomly to prevent this.

He is still single but Serena actually made progress with letting her feelings be known, she also actually kissed ash (whether on the lips or cheek is unknown)

What do you expect from a world where all the police officers and nurses look the same? That should be biologically impossible! if it were one or two that looked the same, I'd believe it, but ALL OF THEM? That's ridiculous.
