Pretty much, yeah.

They do have a Trial System though: Each island has it's own Kahunas, Totem Pokemon, and Trial Captains, which you're expected to solve their puzzles or beat in order to continue.

They'll probably play a bigger role given that it goes beyond pokemon battles and leave.

For me it is where I started, so I have a bit of bias. I also really like the pokemon from Gen III mainly Flygon

Gen III was my least favorite, though I didn't play Emerald and I liked Leafgreen. I don't have any preference for the actual regions though.

I'd have to say maybe Johto, Kanto, and Unova are my favorite regions because of the layout and the game progression. I also like the cities.

IGN is hardly reputable anymore. Besides the water environments did try really well to look different this time.

Well, it's tied with Sinnoh with me, but since I could only pick one...

It's a really cool region (I like tropical areas) with lots of areas to explore, and some of the best designs in the franchise.

God fucking dammit game freak, the whole dex was datamined from the demo and there very few new Pokémon, barely any Alolan Pokemon, no new megas, and nothing new for gen 2,4,5 Pokémon which got so shafted in gen 6.

I just fought a team skull grunt and I one hit killed his Pokémon with aerial ace.

Looks like I'm gonna have a fun time when I transfer to the full version.

I also hate how you now have to press a to enter buildings.

The music is nice though. Especially the trainer victory theme, it's a remix of the gen 3 victory theme... two official remasters of the same song...

And I wiped out Plumeria using Gigavolt Havoc....

But in general I feel like the ORAS special demo was MUCH longer which is what I liked about it.

I'd give it a 7.8/10 -Not Enough Demo
