So I finally took a look at the Galar fossil Pokemon and, just oh my Arceus, this Cara Liss bitch needs to be arrested for crimes against life itself.

No, they should make more crimes against nature.

We still don't have a Dino x Drake abomination.

I do not care what others say, Dracovish is adorable.
I put it on my team thinking "I like its design, and its signature move seems really powerful, perhaps it is just a gimmick though."
Then a few days later I see an inundation of videos of Dracovish absolutely dominating the early competitive scene. I will not lie, seeing it become so popular competitively was half heartwarming and half disappointing (as now choosing it will not be seen as giving an interesting design a chance but as just picking what is currently seen as dominant).

I might be late, but I finally beat Pokémon Sun and the ending has brought a tear to my manly eyes.

I've hatched at least 200+ Mimikyu's trying to get a shiny with the Masuda method. I'll probably surprise trade most of the extra's on Christmas.

I got a shiny Dreepy after ~400 eggs, then without even using Masuda (I was just trying to get a good nature) got a Turtonator in 2. Then I got a Snom in ~700, and then started work on breeding a shiny Toxel for a friend for christmas.

Somewhere over 2000 eggs. I still have 200 unhatched left over. I almost went insane.

Found out about Pokémon fan games. Downloaded Insurgence and Rejuvenation, + Reborn. Started Insurgence and it’s fun so far.

Are there Mystery Dungeon fan games out there?

A tier list of fangames would be nice. I really want one thats similar to the base experience but with "know better" attitude of the fanbase.

Eh... Gameplay wise the fanbase does tend to do a better job, but story wise fan games tend to fall hard pretty often. Most of them try to be super serious or edgy, while forgetting the fact that Pokémon is actually pretty humorous as well. For example, Pokémon Reborn starts with the MC getting in a train accident caused by a terrorist bombing and ending up in the middle of Detroit Peridot Ward, and this is played 100% seriously.

However, there is a series of fan games that's adapting the Pokémon Adventures manga, and those keep the same general feeling as the rest of the franchise. (Minus, y'know, the parts where they cut Pokemon in half and create genetic experiments that would make Dracovish's existence seem merciful by comparison)

I caught my first Shiny while taking a break from Mimikyu breeding. I spotted an Eldegoss along the city wall and decided to battle it since I hadn't seen many of them in the wild area, but it turned out to be Shiny and I threw a quick ball because I didn't want to even risk it getting knocked out.

Just wait until its Hidden Ability Libero (basically Protean) is made available. I think it will be better than Greninja - it is a tiny bit slower but has a vastly better movepool.

The second (or for some third) ability only available through special means. They are often very good (for example, Appletun gets Thick Fat, Gyarados gets Moxie, Incineroar gets Intimidate, Charizard gets Solar Power for some reason, Frosmoth gets Ice Scales). Most are available currently as a chance in Max Raids, but some (such as those of the starters and the fossils) are as yet unavailable.
Cinderace's Hidden Ability Libero is a clone of Greninja's, Protean, which causes the Pokémon to change itself to whatever type of move it is about to use. If a Cinderace with Libero uses High Jump Kick, it becomes Fighting type immediately before the move is used, meaning that whatever move it uses it gains the 50% Same Type Assisted Bonus to the damage. It can also change its typing in anticipation of the opponent - such as using Acrobatics to become Flying type and thus immune to Ground so that it can avoid an Earthquake. It is considered one of the best abilities in the game. It made Greninja very highly regarded, despite it having such a poor movepool. I am intrigued to see where it takes Cinderace.

Right now the wild area has increased odds of running into a Magikarp and an 8% chance it will be Shiny. I caught one an hour before New Years.

I got a few dozen shinies in total on the old Wonder Trade (I am a breeder, so I end up with a lot of full boxes). I think I will wait until Home comes out before I start doing that to the same degree again, as I do not have much box space left at the moment.

I would've laughed if they were confident enough in the game that they charged for the expansions.

Also, I don't like the new Regi's, they look too... complex and cartoony, the other ones were simple and looked more realistic. Glad they've added ~200 cut Pokémon back to the games though.

Yeah, the expansions also come with an update that adds ~200 cut Pokémon.

And both the expansions and update are gonna be free.

Huh. Cool. So that puts the number of cut Pokémon at what, 300ish?
