Drifted a bit away from my usual time selection and treated myself to Irresponsible Captain Tylor. A good, but forgotten gem as well- although I dislike harems (and it is at least semi-harem) the charismatic main character and the interesting setting more than make up for it.

Tylor's a pretty zany guy. I'm pretty sure that 8 out of 10 harem MCs could be mistaken for the Osomatsu bothers, but without their individuality.

I was watching Kantaro: The Sweet Tooth Salaryman and Pop Team Epic the other day.

I*m not a huge fan of isekai (so this season is a complete hole in one for me as you can guess) but I've been watching realist hero for the last few weeks (saw it described as Spice and Wolf isekai so I had to check it out) and I'm liking it even thought it has the regular isekai cliches. Last episode was a bit lackluster, but a few duds are to be expected in any series.

Bokutachi no Remake is actually pretty good
the characters feel solid and (almost) human most of the time even if cliched at times
plus, it's nice to see an anime about people doing technical things that doesn't just technobabble its way through literally everything

God I wish I didn’t watch Lilly C.A.T. (1987) The animation is acceptable for the age and the budget, but the plot is God awful, the characters often behave extremely stupid- definitely a waste of my time

I am fine with it as well, though when I mention western animation, I try to mention at least one 'true anime' in the same post, for safety's sake. I see nothing wrong with bringing up animesque series deliberately styled after Japanese animation, though, and there are plenty of odd examples that blur the line.

I have not been watching much anime lately, as for some reason at the end of June I decided it was a good idea to go back through both Critical Role campaigns in full ready for the next one and their animated series, hence my lack of presence here. I drifted away from the currently airing season of That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime, which was dragging a bit, as well as My Hero Academia, though I am sure I will return to both at some point. However, I have recently started Kaizoku Oujo, and am quite enjoying the expressiveness and many of the personalities. I am also seriously considering rewatching Yona of the Dawn for the umpteenth time as a result, and wishing again that they would at last resume animating that marvellous series.
