Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team is probably the best "standalone" series in the Universal Century continuity, but you don't need to know much of the context.

Something similar happened to me but for Code Geass. CLAMP noodle people with razor-sharp chins looked uncanny in my book, even in fanservice scenes.

We were allowed to go into our hobbies a little in the presentation, it's a summer class after all. She mainly stuck to how she is similar in personality to Mako in the series. Maybe she wanted to be a actor because of that? I didn't really pay attention.
During that time I just liked Ramen and STEM subjects. (I was still closeted about my weeb vocaloid worship stage, that just gets regulated into the bedroom)
Also, how is razor chins uncanny? The chins are susspose to be stylised so it doesn't look human so it will avoid the uncanny valley effect. Are razor sharp chins human characteristic or something?

Eh, I phrased it out badly, not "uncanny", just "odd". Looking back the story is ok, it was an entertaining show, but I didn't like the style that much. I think, as a result, I also didn't register any of the CG characters as remotely attractive though there was fanservice in that show and I was like 13 years old back then. But that's just me.
