I'm not a weaboo because you think I am, I'm a weaboo because I think I am.
In other words. How dare you. That is our word.
IMO, says a lot that you guys are angry about not getting to call other people weaboo... Kind of a weird complaint to have.

You're definitely a weeaboo because I think you're one.

In other news, been re-watching Neon Genesis Evangelion.
It's rather rattling, watching it again, both because the story is so unrelenting while also just not resembling anything else I've seen except maybe Puella Magi Madoka and... Blue Gender I guess? Except, you know, Blue Gender is bad.
You don't often see Millenarianist themes in anime, for fuck's sake. Religion, politics, economics, psychology, scientific theology and ethics, all straining against the potential end of humanity... It's so goddamn Lovecraftian in a way no other anime I've watched has accomplished, and I don't think Anno was even aiming for Lovecraftian horror.
All balanced atop the backs of school children with no parental supervision... The three Children are unabashed pawns in the games of the adults. Nobody is looking out for them except maybe Misato, and she's powerless before the godlike terrors the gaping maw of infinity throws before them, capable of corrupting mind, body, and soul. And in the end, the canon endings, good and bad, end up with the inevitable end of humanity, raptured into fanta, living in a liquid heaven.
Have they even portrayed a universe in the anime where Third Impact fails? Granted, I've never seen the reboot movies, but I do know those are after Third Impact.

To answer your spoilered question, maybe one of the Raising projects. But I’m not really sure.

It's a lovely ending, whereas End of Evangelion is...
... Yeah. End of Evangelion is one of the most upsetting things I've had to sit through, and I sat through both Nekromantik and Vase De Noces, laughing my ass off at the first and being annoyed by the latter.
Don't look either of those movies up, btw.

Meh. I tried re-watching it too, but I stopped at around episode 7 or 8...because Asuka. It feels weird but 15-year-old me remembered it was way cooler...now it's just...ehhh.

Ahem... You don't know me, or anybody else for that matter.
As someone who has had to grapple with existential terror and as an avid fan of Lovecraft, I say NGE captures that very well, especially in End of Evangelion.
