Which Anime are you watching or have watched recently IV?

So, instead of getting into the seasonal anime like I originally planned to do, I instead rewatched some old stuff I've seen before, plus a few new things.

• Haruhi Suzumiya - my all-time favorite (S3 when, KyoAni?!)
• Overlord - S2 sucked imo, but S3 won me back despite the horrible animation
• Fate/stay night Heaven's Feel 2 - holy fuck that Saber Alter vs Berserker fight, it really shows just how much quality Ufotable puts into their work. Also Sakura best girl
• Alice & Zouroku - kinda meh imo, but it was interesting enough to make me watch till the end
• Re:Creators - totally underrated imo, this should have been Action Anime of the Year when it came out

Kyoani's very particular about their ownership or control over the source material, it's half of the reason they started their own LN/Manga branch to begin with.

They don't have majority control over Haruhi's LN's, so they're not going to make a season 3 until they get that.

Finished Akagi, after having seen Kaiji last year. Together with One Outs, that's probably the best series featuring tricky guys finding loopholes in the rules? Love these kinds of series, and I like they don't leave the character's talent to 'lol they're just really good, prodigies since they were young' etc.

Well, I know what I'm doing if I ever become ludicrously wealthy: Buy up the portions of the LN rights that Kyoani doesn't own and then sell it to them at a ridiculously low price.

In other news, Funimation (to which I subscribe) has finally put up the Rising of the Shield Hero dub. I am two episodes in and I already love it.

They also reviewed Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. If it's a major film release they cover it, and both Akira and Ghost in the Shell were "important" movies.
