I've had the great honor of finally seeing all 18 episodes of: Soviet Storm- World War II in the East, by Star Media. The largest land invasion in world history, reduced to tatters after battles of Moscow, Stalingrad, and Kursk, completely worn out and run all the way back to Berlin and beyond to Prague, Czechoslovakia. The single greatest war of attrition and retribution ever. The Red Army triumphed over the Wehrmacht, which was broken.

Eh, I prefer Battlefield because it has more stock footage. But Soviet Storm is also good, wehraboos don't like Bagration. Oh wai-

I watched some episodes of Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu.

Finished Aura Battler Dunbine a.k.a "What if Gundam was an isekai" by Yoshiyuki Tomino. I liked it.

Tomino once again cements his reputation as "Kill 'em all" Tomino with the entire cast dead by the end with the exception of the men, women, and F-14 Tomcats of CVN-70 USS Carl Vinson.

lmao

But on a serious note, I felt that - for a Gundam series - this one had a lot more darker themes than usual (what with all the child soldiers killing each other, among other things). It's all exceptionally really well done though, story and art-wise.

The qualifier here is "Each other". Amuro may have been 15, but the Zeon Soldiers he killed were adult soldiers rather than other kids. Zeta is where we started seeing kids on both sides.

It's not.

Child soldiers are nothing new (Amuro, Kamille, Judau, Banana-kun, Seabook, Uso (Who's the youngest gundam pilot, beating out Mika by about 6 months), Heero, Garrod, Loran, Jesus Yamato, Shin, Setsuna Gundam-kun, Flint, Asemu, and Kio Jesus), Gundam tropes are in full force here (Even if they're not obvious), and the story and art are terrible.

But that's just my opinion...

It's definitely a show that's going to rely heavily on your taste. While it is beautiful, even by Kyoani standards, it is also very episodic, and a slow burn, rather than a big dramatic piece. I'm enjoying it, but at the same time if you don't enjoy shows that heavily focus on dialogue and characters you might find it dull outside of the visual spectacle Kyoani's giving us.

I'm loving it, but I could see why others might not get into it.

Also, I've been watching Takagi-san.
