The AV-98 Ingram is one of the best designs out there. Probably my second favorite after Kazutaka Miyatake's design for Starship Trooper's power armor.
FLAG's design didn't do much for me if you're talking about this FLAG. Like the rest of the show I found the mechanical design utterly mediocre. Pity because the concept was good.

As for Patlabor; it's pretty hard saying no to something with riot gear. Or a Vulcan...though IIRC, the one with the rotating cannon was the JGSDF mech, not the Ingram, correct me if I'm wrong. That one actually reminded me a bit of the destroids in Macross/Robotech.

In all seriousness though, the show is still in its very early stages. It's a 2 cour show, so I'm more than willing to give a bit more to really stretch its legs and show me what it's actually trying to be about. As much as its very fanservicey and its definitely going for a more super robot kinda deal than a more grounded 'realistic' setting, there are some things about the show that are intriguing me. I would love if this show goes on to say something about sexuality and differences, and it seems like it could well be laying the groundwork for that. Maybe it'll be shit, but I want to see this ride through to the end.

The jsdg one was the helldiver, which is literally just a tacticool Ingram
The destroid was also designed by Miyatake. The guy is a God tier designer and probably one of the more influential people in the field.
