That's a ridiculously silly view. The quality of the source material is usually independent of the quality of the anime adaptation. Its possible for a good work to get a shitty anime adaptation. For example the Chaos;Head VN is a solid psychological thriller. The anime? A horror beyond your wildest nightmare.

No it's not, in that earlier claim you stated that adaptation quality is directly related to source material quality, and when presented with evidence to the contrary, you did the internet equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and going "I can't here you."

In the second statement you made, you're saying that if you don't like one thing, you most likely won't like the other. That is a different claim, as it is more personal and doesn't try to claim that the quality of one thing is directly related to the quality of another.
