Word of advice. If you don't adore Space Opera you're likely in for disappointment. Its aong my favorite shows but I can't stand people trotting it out as some masterpiece god-tier perfect anime. It's not. It's Space Opera. Damn good Space Opera, but still Space Opera and there are a lot of otherwise okay people who don't like Space Opera for whom watching the show will be a waste of time that leaves a bad taste in their mouth.

It's not but for some unknown reason some people think Space Opera as a genre is terrible and balk at anything Space Opera related including LotGH. Personally I blame improper parenting for such cases.

They really aren't. After the Kyoto Arc the anime filler comes off as cheap

LotGH Remake PV

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The CGI looks fantastic, and it'll be wonderful to see the battles re-done with modern CGI animation. However....the character designs just aren't speaking to me. I know Reinhard was always described as a pretty boy, but..I don't know they just look kinda...generic? I feel like that's the word I'm looking for.

I hope this turns out well. It was never gonna equal the OVAs, but, I'm still hopeful, though there's some more worry in there now.

Think I'm ready to call Made In Abyss a letdown. This show has become a slog. Of the 12 episodes, 2 of them were any good. The rest is them squandering the entire premise of the show. It's BORING.

I think the main problem Made in Abyss has is the slow pacing. There's a very good reason for it though, if they went at a faster pace they'd end partway into what is widely agreed to be the best arc in the manga so far. If they were to cover that entire arc in the anime then they'd make Knights & Magic's pacing look like a snail's pace by comparison. I'm just hoping we get a season 2. As it is they'll likely end it just before that arc, giving us a good starting point for a second season. Although I think we'd get the same pacing problem again as the arc isn't quite long enough for a full 12 episodes. Maybe if we get a season 2 Tsukushi will have wrapped up the current arc and we'd get both at a reasonable pace.

I'd suggest reading the manga if you have the chance, the anons who translated it uploaded directly to Batoto, so that's the best place to read it. Just be warned that the manga is worse than the anime in terms of the loli shit stuff. ?For some chapters there are 2 translations, read the one by /a/nonymous

Guess I'm giving up on Princess Principal, I was looking forward to it, soundtrack and some art/animation were good, but the story took itself too seriously in the wrong places.

I joined the university anime society. We had our first meeting tonight. We had a short quiz, and then watched three anime episodes, dictated by what got the most votes on the Facebook poll. First we watched the first episodes of One Punch Man and Psycho Pass.

Then we watched the first episode of Ouran High School Host Club.

Knights and Magic is over. I really enjoyed it but I feel like it really should have had at least twice as many episodes. We lost out on so much mecha autisim and mecha R&D. Not to mention that there's still a few LN volumess worth of material that wasn't covered.
