If Tsukasa Fushimi makes another series, the OP will need banjos and Jerry Springer could make a cameo.

I feel like there should be better shows with that theme.

I enjoyed Oreimo, generally quite enjoy the imouto subgenre, and have watched (and even been mildly entertained) by some trash-tier otaku-bait series in the past. Eromanga Sensei, however, caused me genuine physical pain for the two episodes I endured and I start having flashbacks and twitching if I encounter even a small clip online.

LWA is good, and it just finished.

I can think of several 'recent' series that aired in the past year I thought were very good, despite problems: Dragon-maid, Flip Flappers, Hibike Euphonium, Your Name, Space Patrol Luluco, Konosuba, Rakugo Shinju, to name a few. I've heard great things about Quanzhi Gaoshou, and plan to watch that soon.

Of course, the whole "DAE ITT think all modern anime is trashhhh?" meme is going to continue endlessly regardless of what comes out, just like every "ugh everything modern is trash" meme in every medium.

Kennlind wrote:Clockwork planet was the only good thing from this series but it just finished airing. The big series like kobayashi-san and eromanga sensei were very overrated

a) Kobayashi was: 1) last season, 2) very good. Kyoani is the master of going beyond moe CGDCT and really breathing life into their shows. Dragonmaid was a heartwarming look at family dynamics and what that means for those involved, wrapped in a lovely fantasy shell.

b) Really? Clockwork has been getting railed by almost everyone else in the community.

Philjia wrote:Wait, people liked Eromanga Sensei?

I know some people who like it as a "So bad it's good" kinda deal, as in a: "This show is so trash, it transcends what it means to be trash." I guess kinda the same way I 'like' Akashic Records. Just so bad it's enjoyable to watch for how cliche it is.

Oh I thought it was this season lol
I enjoyed clockwork planet, there has been some unnecessary parts to it and it's quite fast moving, but the story is quite unique and it's interesting enough...

Just finished Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara (If Her Flag Breaks) and I was NOT AT ALL PREPARED FOR THAT ENDING :( :(
I haven't watched the OVA or started off from where the anime finishes in the manga, but I've been told it's an anime only ending so I'm praying that's true...
Now it's time to finish eromanga-sensei, koukaku no pandora and love live...

Not going to answer that outside spoiler, but from the very start I predicted at least one would succeed and it be Nanami, Akane or (a wild guess) Megumu
Number Zero is Kagura (the founding queen of Bladefield), Nanami is his sister and everything was a virtual world, none of the other girls know him. he then goes to Quest Dormitory where he sees Akane, he recognizes her but she doesn't recognize him. They walk around, he saves her from falling, she says he saved her again, he says she kept her promise again, implying she remembers something.

made me so mad and so sad and urgh at the same time

indeed

I watched the OVA and it was one of those generic christmas episodes, however it's definitely set before the last few episodes of the series, so in the end
one of my predictions was "right"
