Eh...no. It's adorable as all fuck, but it's only 2 minutes per episode, and sometimes devoid of kitties.

Mmm it's on my list of things to watch. I figured the fairly mediocre MAL score is from the short episode length. Which seems a tad unfair.

Philjia wrote:So, I finished Psycho Pass. It's fine. It has a reasonably good plot, and the premise is fairly interesting. That said, fans of cyberpunk and/or police procedurals are unlikely to find anything new or exciting here. The heavy use of CGI for complex objects doesn't do it any favours either. Ultimately, by the concluding few episodes I'd gotten bored. I knew where it was going and just had to watch it slowly grind towards the conclusion. I think I might actually have enjoyed it more if it had stuck with the formula it had early on, and focused on several small mysteries than one big one. I didn't hate it, but I have to give Psycho Pass a 6.5/10.

I enjoyed the first series, it seemed to bring up some interesting questions about society and had a reasonably interesting set of characters. The second season just kind of flopped.

I wonder if my reaction to “why are you watching this show instead of that show” ,and debates between which show you should, being confusion and “why don’t we have both” sign that I have too much free time or I am just disgustingly neutral.

Finished Eureka 7.
Enjoyed it. Main issue is that the end went on two episodes longer than it needed to. Stupid happens in those last two episodes. The things that happen aren't intrinsically stupid, they just conflicted with other things that had been established. They spent 48 episodes slowly adding things in, getting those things to work together well enough, and then BAM! Too many things to keep track of, so stuff just happens and you have no idea what the stakes are, because the world was going to explode and you're really not sure if they stopped it because Big Bad did a thing with unclear outcomes. And then things keep happening.

The show is 3 episodes longer than it needs to be, there's an episode where they just play soccer for no reason. This is an entire episode, in a rather critical turning point in the story. They pause for an episode to play soccer.

Super Dimension Century Orguss. A decent show. I enjoyed the ride but the ending was a real letdown.

A compelling tale of a man (Kei) who after a brief scene of him being caught in the act by his girlfriend's father, is sent on a mission on the last day of the war to set off a bomb. He was presumably chosen for not just for his piloting skill but also his abilities to pull mad pussy and not take anything seriously. The mission goes south and the bomb misfire sending him to another world populated by space gypsies, enemy soldiers with Doritos on their forehead, killer robots( that are often talked about but don't actually bother showing up until the last third), a robot loli and a talking dinosaur because even though it was the 80s the creators were apparently still hung over from the 70s.

After 15 episodes of trying to get into the pants of a space gypsy (mimsy) who is engaged to another space gypsy ( Sley) but otherwise doing nothing of importance, his wingman and best bro Olsen shows up and explains to him what the show should have been explaining for the past 15 episodes, namely that it's not a different world, just the same world 20 years in the future, the people with Doritos on their heads are the people from their world, the bomb misfired and bits bits of the world are overlapping from parallel worlds, as the dudes who set off the bomb they are the only ones who can fix things and that Kei should have used a condom the night before he went on the mission.

Now that Olsen has caught the show up to where it should have been, the story progress as we see the conflict between the Doritos Foreheaded humans, the space gypsies and the killer robots develop as the humans and gypsies try to sway Kei and Olsen into fixing the world while the killer robots try and kill everyone. Along the way Sley gets cucked to death without anybody really caring, Kei comes to grips with having a daughter nearly as old as him and also knocks up mimsy because he didn't learn his lesson about using protection. All of this climaxes in Kei and Olsen reaching the bomb site and traveling back in time to fix the world wherein the series ends and abruptly cuts to a montage of the characters interacting with each other happily over a white background set to the OP. This is followed by the regular ending credits and them song.

I finished Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. It's not really a show about anything, but that doesn't matter. It's funny, and sweet. The final episode even managed to pull off being melancholy pretty damn well. There's not much more I can say than that. It is what it is, and what it is I find pleasing. 8/10

Sweden is a lie. It is a myth perpetuated by Ikea in order to distract us from the non-Euclidean geometry of their stores and the inexplicably low prices of their flat packed furniture.

Yeah...I'm kinda sad it's over. I went in expecting pure cute dragon girls doing cute dragon things. I didn't expect all the feels.
The whole scene where Kobayashi is trying to care for Kanna and live her life without Tohru was perfect for her character.
