Been working my way through SDC Orguss and a rewatch of SDF Macross. Orguss so far is okay. It's pacing is sort of poor and and the dude who showed up halfway through to explain everything really should have showed up sooner. It's also 80s as fuck except its from the part of he 80s were they were still hung over from the 70s so there's a talking dinosaur with a plot device for a tail.

SDF Macross is of course the classic tale of one young man's coming of age as he slowly grows up to realize that idols are shit.

What always infuriates me are the "I don't like mecha but I do like....." people. They'll love Eva or TTGL, but dislike other mecha despite the fact they've never seen any of it. The people that love TTGL but "hate mecha" especially tick me off because the show was heavily influenced by older super robot shows and the all too common "I like it because It doesn't have much focus on the mechas"argument doesn't even apply.

What do you mean by this?

The preview was actually a full episode of a certain well-known hentai. Early April Fools joke by CM (the guy who runs Anilinkz), I guess.

Oh yeah, those people annoy me to no end.

I especially hate it when they try to give reasons as to why they don't like them, even if they've never/barely seen a mech show before. You see, chances are, if they give me a reason as to why they don't like mech shows, I can bring up 2-5 examples of mech shows without the problems they bring up. Hating or avoiding an entire genre because 1 or 2 shows have similar problems/things someone doesn't like, doesn't make everything else in the genre bad, that's just plain ignorance.

I myself have mixed feelings still toward NGE, even as I LOVE TTGL.

...Okay, I give up. My rationale for dismissing the yet to be anime of Jojo 5 is bullshit. These guys dressed like Drag Race rejects, and were the best villains like, ever. I'm sure fruitcake here is awesome too. In other words I ADMIT I WAS WRONG.

Don't worry, Giorno is probably one of the most badass JoJo's in the series.
