I've just watched this one myself! Another brilliant series by Trigger, although honestly...The true identity of Alan still seemed seemed a little more like a random ass-pull than a legit twist in my opinion
Other than that, I've also given Puella Magi Madoka Magica another watch, and I found it pretty lacking compared to when I saw it a few years back.I honestly started getting quite fed up with Sayaka's self-centered sob story after episode 6, with how she's like "Oh woe is me, I've become a monster, I'm not human anymore!" all because of a freaking soul gem. Before she continues to sabotage herself over that. Couldn't sympathize, really. I mean, there's a lot more worthy sources of drama in this kind of series.
I decided to also see the Rebellion movie afterwards, which I hadn't watched before. Compared to the series, I may have even liked it better.
