Sakura Wars The Animation. Not sure why they specify 'The animation'. I assume that means it was a game or a light novel or something. But yeah, idol group that pilot these steampunky mechs...also, pretty sure there's a crossdressing dude with a sword.

Well, if we're talking about shows for this season, there's only two that I'm actually looking forward to: the 3rd (and probably final) season of OreGairu and the second season of Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai.

There's really not much else that interests me this season, though I might take a look into a few just so I have something to watch while waiting for next week's episode.

For current and upcoming shows, Infinite Dendrogram started well but seemed to trail off in the middle, so I hope it finds its feet again at the end, A Certain Scientific Railgun T has not yet reached the heights of the S season but is still looking very good so far, I will be diving into the second season of Ascendance of a Bookworm as soon as possible, and I am very much hoping the second season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is better than the first (which started in a promising way but began to rush through the middle and then went very strange in terms of pacing at the end, with a throwaway final episode the likes of which I have not seen since Medaka Box: Abnormal).

I have an anime related question. I recently found out that there was some anime where the premises is that orks or some such from a fantasy world invade Japan through portals or something and the Japanese army has to shoot at them with modern weaponry and just massacres them. Can anyone tell me just what this thing is called?

Maybe Gate? Sorry, I haven't actually seen the show but this is the first thing that came to mind.

Mewkledreamy is a show I didn't know I've been wanting. A cutesy, fluffy magical girl show with no shoved in edgy twist to it. That's rare these days. I missed this kind of thing.
