I only barely started, thelast episode I watched was S1E36, tonight I'll watch E37. I'm only watching it because my brother keeps pestering me to, and he keeps obsessing over the same 13 epsiodes and I have no idea why.

I suggest Attack on Titan, Magi Madoka Magical, Naruto, and Cory in the House

Watching Studio Ghibli movies is always a good start, imo. As for personal recommendations, I dunno what your preferred genres are, so I'll just recommend a few of my favorites.

I wonder if Are You Lost? ends up with turning out it’s not deserted island, with bunch of islander finding them presenting them with “Are You Lost?” and cutting to end credits.

Recently decided to jump back in after years away to spend some time with my younger brother. His selection was a good one, if not exactly a 'hidden' gem or anything: ATTACK ON TITAN. Took me awhile to get into it, thanks to the quasi-bratty nature of Eren and the whining of Armin (Mikasa carries the show early on). The mythology is pretty swank though, and by the time the show hits the middle of the first season, I'm hooked.

Watched first episode of danmachi S2 and it somehow always feels weird when you have certain fantasy aesthetic, except for the formal wear which looks like it's abducted from modern setting.

Just finished Kino's Journey (2003) and Fate: Apocrypha. Kino was a terrific series, I'd strongly recommend it, though it does enjoy asking you tough questions and encourages navel contemplating. So, fair warning.

As for Apocrypha, it was all right. It does mark the last Fate series for me to watch on Netflix though, so I guess it'll be awhile before I see any more of the franchise.

Welp, Kyoani's fucked for a while. The studio only has 130 employees and as many as 10% of the studio's staff is believed to be dead, with another 30+ being seriously injured or missing.

Keep in mind that Kyoani's one of the only 3 or 4 studios that doesn't treat their employees like slaves, so I wonder what effects this'll have on the rest of the industry.

It's also likely most of the dead are children. KyoAni as part of their "not treat animators like shit" policies had a daycare on the second floor. Most of the bodies were found on the second floor.

The guy who did it is going to hang. He's killed more people than anyone else in japan since the end of WWII.
