A Silent Voice is my favourite anime film, full stop. The manga is just as good as well.

It's one of my new favorites for sure. The editing was admittedly kinda weird though, I don't get why they needed to cut around like that, it didn't really serve a purpose beyond I guess reiterating certain points?

Either way, the story was indeed amazing. I remember somebody telling me they didn't like it because Shoko was a "perfect little cream puff". IMO, sure, but she was the only one in the movie, as opposed to quite a few other anime and Japanese media that treat high school as either a terrible place full of terrible people where the only heroes are the quirky protagonists. Plus, IMO it betrays the cynicism a lot of people have towards bullying all over the world. I've met plenty of people with very unhealthy attitudes toward it, both victim and bully.

Reminds me of that Japanese urban legend about "The Counting Girl"... Which yeah, you would think, if it were that easy, to avoid bad things happening to you, people would stop... But they don't. What stops it is people surrendering their pride to the better angels of their nature.

Everybody in A Silent Voice is an amazing character, with both flaws and good things... Except Ueno I guess but she's just a bitch so it's fine

Because it was based off a manga series that could've easily been adapted into a 24 episode series...

Honestly, Working!! is one of the best slice-of-life comedies I've ever watched.

Yamada is fucking annoying, though. Dunno why people actually like her.

Also, WWW.Working's cast is, let's say, sub-standard compared to Working!!'s cast. Nah, let's go further and just outright say WWW.Working is substandard compared to Working!! Hard to believe WWW.Working is actually the main series when Working!! is just so much better in every way.

I mostly like Yamada because her incompetence at doing everyday shit and trying to front it out is very relatable.

I think they're both good, but I do agree with you on it being better.

Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan's last third turned into a romance between some human characters. It honestly felt less weird when it was just a dragon flight sim with vore. Also because Hisone is in my new icon, I think it's safe to say its gotten enough of my attention for me to actually like it.

It's nicely refreshing to see a plain-looking and socially-inept 20 something year old MC winning over her love interest against the cute high-school girl though.

I finally got around to finish watching Darling in the Franxx.

Hmm, what can I say? Nothing that hasn't been heard before, I'm sure.

Well, I guess I should say that while I enjoyed nearly the entire anime, I was disappointed by the final arc. I was wondering where the series was heading, but I wasn't surprised by the "plot twist". (Yeah, I avoided Franxx spoilers for nearly a year. Yay, me.) It was convoluted, confusing, but not entirely unexpected. I already knew there was something going on behind the whole Humanity vs Monster thing, but for the writing to take that route was just disappointing.

I guess I had too high expectations for this one since I've never been disappointed by a Trigger work before, but there's always a first for everything.

I read Masakazu Ishiguro's Getenrou. Didn't know he could pull off tragedy and murder so well. Kinda weird that he still puts his usual comedy in between. I still love his manga style.

Dead and buried? I would argue that it's still alive and very much kicking, in fact. Its mobile game spinoff, Fate/Grand Order, is set to receive adaptations: two movies and an anime series.

Plus, in July 6 comes out an adaptation for its spinoff: Lord El-Melloi Case Files.

Then, of course, there's still the remaining Part 3 movie of Heaven's Feel.
