No, I don't know that. I mention the anime going on hiatus for a few months, and you just randomly call my opinions shit. I think you're going on ignore for a while.

Ok, I was talking about the new Jojo. But sure, run away from other people's scary opinions like you Always do.

Finally finished "Gualidea Code". I know I said it was dumb, but it got a bit better in the middle, and the ending was ok. Except for the fact they had a perfect opportunity for a love story at the end, and totally missed it, which was a major disappointment.

Going for "Boarding School Juliet" next. A "Romeo and Juliet" story, set in a boarding school used by two opposing nations, where the Black Dogs and White Cats have replaced the Montague and Capulet families as rivals, and the two sides riot in school on a daily basis. Yeah, that sounds like a good place to send a kid for an expensive education.

And the AOT anime is finally past the worst arc in the manga. All uphill from here.

Agreed that that was the worst arc, but it doesn't really get better, persay. I have mixed feelings about what follows after the arc.

Holding off on "Boarding School Juliet" for a bit, it isn't all that great anyway. Re-watching KONOSUBA for now, which I haven't seen since it was new, over two years ago. I forgot how genuinely funny it was, and that all the main characters are so inept. Unlike those other "trapped in a game" animes (which this is sort of like, though different in it's own way), the main character Kazuma starts at level 1, and isn't OP like most of main characters in so many other animes like this one. While the ladies around him are much higher level than he, his inexperience, and the fact he is going though a learning/building process, actually works to his advantage. I consider the scene where he learns how to steal something from another person (in the third episode) to be one of anime's top funny moments.

Added notes: I didn't realize it, but they added an extremely short second season to this, last year. Only four episodes long, my guess is that it got cancelled. The second season wasn't nearly as funny as the first, and the story line was getting badly off track. One of the main characters was missing for a couple of episodes, then they brought her back in a very weird story arc, that, despite it's intentions, wasn't all that funny. Being this was made over one year ago, I'm not expecting any continuation.

I've seen that as well, last night. It does a decent enough job of capturing wartime Japan but is perhaps a bit lacking.

The main character was put into an arranged marriage and admitted that she hardly knew her husband all that well, but rolled with it anyways and did her best to love him. That is kind of strange but whatever, not unheard of.

My main contention is that she didn't need to lose her hand or the little kid she was escorting. Unexploded ordinance generally speaking, doesn't detonate for no reason. I don't see it exploding unless it was dropped recently or if they purposefully touched or caused too much vibration to set it off. It is regrettable that the kid died and her hand was blown off just for the sake of saddening the plot of the manga. I think it more realistic for her to get severely injured if the bomb was actually dropped from a plane to explode near her as opposed to it being from a dud.

Even the Viet Cong didn't find it too difficult to defuse or re-purpose dropped US bombs during the Vietnam war and they were essentially just a band of peasants with farming or jungle background. No high sophistication is required to not get blown up like they did, even if they're screwing around near it.

Gridman is turning out to be one of the better animes this season. Even the CGI is good.

Goblin Slayer, on the other hand, continues to disappoint. White Fox seems to just be going through the motions on this one. At this point I might wait for the blu-ray to clean it up or drop it entirely.

Just checked out 'Rose of Versailles' from the library because I've heard of it before and the premise sounded interesting.
It's about a girl during pre-revolutionary France who was raised as a boy and is assigned as a bodyguard to Crown Princess Marie Antoinette.
It has a very 90's art-style but appears to have a very serious take on the era.

It's TV Tropes page as this line.
If you were wondering about the scope of anime, this series places the bar well above your initial guess. Incorporating many French historical figures and the very real political nuances of the period, this series can be read either as a political (leftist and/or rightist) screed or as a heart-rending love story. Either way, it is more than worth your time.

Any thoughts?

It's actually pretty good. There's a sequel about the Napoleonic era, although I've only read the manga of that one and I'm not sure if they ever animated it.
