Spring break is at an end. I got through roughly ~150 episodes of stuff most of which I have no idea why I watched it.

Partial List of things I watched and my thoughts:
Yuru Camp - Comfy out of 10 would recommenced and enjoyed but its not anything special
Full Metal Panic - I enjoyed it. Not the best but I think it had a decent balance of comedy / giant robots smashing things. Also the Rk-92 Savage is one of the more adorable enemy grunt mecha out there and I want one to go next to my Zaku IIs
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu - The My Anime List rating for this is nearly half a point higher than season one. I'm at a loss for why because it was okay at best and lacks any of sort of fun mecha action. More evidence for the case of MAL ratings being meaningless I suppose.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse - Watched this on a whim in one sitting. I'm still unclear on why or how. The robots were nice and I enjoy a good test pilot story but overall it was pretty meh. You could definitely tell at times that it was an anime adaptation of a LN spin off of a VN with "adult" scenes
Martian Successor Nadesico - A solid show. Good comedy, good drama. A fun ride. Still need to get to the movie
Bodacious Space Pirates - Bodacious out of 10. Would Space Pirate again. Also Electronic Warfare is always a nice thing to see.

Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu - The My Anime List rating for this is nearly half a point higher than season one. I'm at a loss for why because it was okay at best and lacks any of sort of fun mecha action. More evidence for the case of MAL ratings being meaningless I suppose.

Sequels are usually ranked higher than the originals just due to selection bias. In general, only people who liked the original are going to bother watching a sequel, which means that the people who just hate the characters/concept of a show aren't going to be around to give it bad reviews. Similarly, since the people watching a sequel are the people who liked the original enough to watch it again, their reviews are probably going to trend to the positive, even if the sequel is just more of the same.

I mean if you look at the top ranked MAL shows, most of them are sequels or second seasons. Of the top 10, 4 are sequels of some variety. Of the top 20, 11 are sequels or second seasons. It's just like recency bias in most 'best anime ever' polls.

I get the selection bias with sequels, it's just that it seems more pronounced than usual with Fumoffu for some reason.

Also, keep in mind that most modern/current anime fans hate mech shows. So they're going to be more forgiving towards a series where they're not as present.

Some of the anime won't work on my CR for some reason. I mainly watch on mobile, and some of the shows take forever to buffer.

One of the series that does work is No Game No Life and I think its decent so far. It's not bad, and I enjoy watching it, but I do see some potential issues in the show. The two main characters come across as Mary Sue-ish to me, though it hasn't gotten to the point of eye-rolling yet. I didn't like how the little sister could pick up an entire language almost instantly.

I finished watching Basilisk and I enjoyed it, so I wondered what the sequel would be about. Then I watched the first episode of the sequel and I was like,"...What the fuck is this?"

They have crap voice actors. Al's, for instance, while you'd think a 14-year-old in a suit of armor should have a deep voice, it sounds like a 10 year old's and half the cast lack emotion. I would readily watch it (and like it) if they got voices that aren't garbage.
