We've watched two episodes of FranXX at anime society and it really didn't do anything for me. None of the protagonists are immediately engaging and I don't really see the point of putting giant robots into something if they just look and behave like humans.

If I at least am giving off that impression then I apologise, cause that’s not what I’m trying to do. If you don’t like a show then you don’t like a show, and that’s fine. We’ve had plenty of civil disagreements in this thread as to who likes shows and who doesn’t. I’d love to hear differences in opinion.

This is exactly the kinda thing I'm talking about. You're insufferably arrogant in your opinions, and fail to recognize that your opinions are--in fact--opinions, and thus can't be 'right' or 'wrong'.¹ This kind of attitude and behavior is what I despise, and what I feel only succeeds in making these kinds of threads more and more toxic.

It's very faithful to the spirit of the 4koma. I consider it a very good adaptation so far but I can see why people might not like it. I don't know why people are surprised by anything in it though (Well I didn't expect the live action VA meltdown scenes which were amazing). Still waiting on adaptation of the most iconic chapter though.
