I'd use Rogue One as an example of a movie that's slow at first but then it makes it to the climax and it really picks up, in then one of the last scenes is just :eek:

Speaking of movies, I decided to watch Ghostbusters 2016.
Didn't even finish it. Movie tried to be TOO funny...
THEY USED A HEARSE. A FREAKING HEARSE.

Assassin's Creed, though....THAT WAS AWESOME.

The past part was only two actions scene when it should've been a whole story. The present protag is a mostly non-existent pushover until the end. Most others characters didn't bother to be any better performance-wise.
I suppose if you condensed to pure fighting there are good bits in there but IMHO you can get a better experience by watching AC:BF's ship battles. Or one of the game trailers for that matter.

I've found the Monster Hunter games suffer from slow start syndrome, at least the couple I tried.

You want to hunt and fight giant monsters! Just spend several hours doing what feels like skull smashingly dull busy work first.

I know for a fact for one that isn't all you do or all you play as for that matter.
I mean feel free to complain(Hell i might if i had the game and was in the mood for it) about that aspect but don't be reductionist about it.

Because, again, people don't play it just to look up 2B's skirt. I know I certainly don't.
So please, drop this idea that this game is all fanservice and no actual game. I am having an absolute blast so far, and I've been intrigued by the story this entire time. Heck, there was one sidequest I did that got me kind of teary eyed at the end.
And you know why that is?

Because of the character the quest was centered around. It wasn't because my eyes couldn't handle all the hotness, believe it or not.

Again, designed by the people who made the game. Cause it's nothing but cheap eye candy like I said. They knew that, and threw in such things to get buys. If this game was SO great, they wouldn't have needed to do that.
