Its decent, when i won though i was literally hours away from being executed as i ran out of heat and food, if the ending hit five hours later i would have been fucking dead
Its made by the folks who made This War of Mine though, and you despised that game iirc

Not despise. Just annoyed the most effective strategy (Looting, pillaging and murdering) is frowned upon. I got pretty far playing the so called right way...til my best scavenger got capped.

The game is both mechanically and thematically centered around murder being, y’know, bad.

Not murder, survival. I had an assload of supplies and food. I was gonna win. But the game forces me to be all moral and goody-goody. Feh.

That's kinda the whole point of the game.
This game about the Siege of Sarajevo, the longest siege in modern history, an event filled with atrocities and lasting psychological impact, isn't about to say "Just kill some fools. Hey, they got in your way. You're in the right here."

Then it's a dumb game. Don't give me the option if you're gonna punish me for it.

He has a right to not enjoy games which are designed to not be games but instead push an agenda and pull on your heart strings. Not everyone enjoys that.
Personally I don't like that sort of thing in media in general. And I can actually appreciate the artistry of it when done right (Nier, Valkyrie Chronicles etc.) but those are still not games I could play and enjoy playing because doing so would make me deeply emotionally uncomfortable to the point where I could not force my self to complete them. I got through them via a letsplay but that's as far as I can go.
And I can certainly appreciate someone being really angry if that sort of thing was dropped on him by surprise, which seems to be the case here.

Calling it dumb and saying the option shouldn’t be there is just stupid. You’re criticizing a game for doing exactly what it’s meant to do.
There’s a huge difference between disliking something and saying that a DARK SURVIVAL GAME SET IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR shouldn’t punish you for making mistakes and bad moral choices.

Smart and stupid are just synonyms for good and bad these days. And good and bad, both in the quality and in the moral sense are just matters of personal opinion.

From my perspective the guy came here to vent about a bad experience and you jumped to scream at him for daring to dislike the game. And honestly the whole thing looks more like you guys trying to justify why he is wrong to not like the game you do. Even now you are trying to convince me he is wrong. I mean, seriously.

Again, there's a HUGE DIFFERENCE between Ameri disliking a game I like and complaining about mistakes he made himself. But instead of thinking "Well, it's a tough survival game about moral choices, what did I expect?" he says "It's the game's fault for giving me choice."

So you are saying that if someone dislikes a product he has no right to criticize said product on account of the fact it's his fault for not "getting it". I disagree. And I do not think I need to explain why.

ALLOW ME TO SAY THIS AGAIN
There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between disliking a game and saying that it is wrong for being designed around choice.

Right and wrong choices on part of the game designers are measured only by how those choices effected your personal enjoyment of the game. You like it therefore from your perspective it is right. He dislikes it therefore from his perspective it is wrong because from where he is standing the developer made choices which diminished his enjoyment in the game. Ergo they were wrong.
And honestly just because you learned to use all caps does not make you right.
