What, there are games out there without loot boxes? What arcane witchery is this?

How is that possible! Games always had that bastion of player choice. Back in the day, there was a daily login bonus of one Jiggy loot box in Banjo kazooie!

New fangled vida games not having gambling in them, complete sorcery I say!

eeey earthbound from chugga

I feel like i'm the only person in the world who loves both Earthbound and Undertale.

Also, I love both TF2 and Overwatch. Fallout 4 is also a game I enjoy more then NV.

Ok lads, I get your proud but considering the catalog this isn't exactly an achievement.

You know how Prince Uldren is the talk of the town in Destiny 2 and is scaring/pissing off every good guy? I think I know someone who can defeat him and his crew.

Quit D2 when the first DLC dropped, is Uldren back or something?

The next major expansion is kicked off by Uldren breaking a bunch of bad creatures out of a prison world and killing Cayde-6.

I feel bad for Konami. I mean God help them if these deviants started doing fan made Pachinko Machines. How will they even be able to survive? They might even have to start paying their programmers even less, and the poors already complain about work conditions.

Life truly is unfair for a Konami Executive.

What the hell is "pachinko" anyway? I keep hearing the word but it's meaning is newer explained.

If I recall, they are arcade machines where you have certain amount of balls which you shoot to score points to win prizes with

It's like a Japanese fruit machine. You pull a lever to shoot balls into a hole, pinball style.

I see. So it's a uniquely Japanese way of bypassing gambling laws which is tolerated by the Japanese on account of the fact it's just convoluted enough that they just have to sigh in dismayed awe of the effort it took to think up, set up and run the thing.

I approve.

In some places getting your money is conveluted too. I recall reading that you could win tokens in a pachinko parlor, these tokens would then be exchanged for certain items. It just so happened that down the street was a shop that would buy these same items (no connection, of course) at a fixed rate.

Totally not gambling.

I actually think I was thinking about mahjong parlors?

Yeah, pachinko usually located in parlors. Pachinko parlors. You have the normal-looking one, though the unique-looking one like a Metal Gear-themed is probably in arcade.

Not sure, never visit Japan so far.

As long as they appear to be "cracking down on it" while still getting their cut I'm sure the government doesn't care at all.

I liked the opening to BF1 because it gave you a perspective of war as being terrible and not just a game. The game, in a way, tells you "Have fun playing this, but remember to have respect and know that war is terrible in real life".
