I'm pretty sure even people who have played every Metal Gear game aren't sure what's going on.

If you have a PS3, I highly recommend buying every main-series Metal Gear game. The HD Collection, which includes 2, 3, and Peace Walker (which probably isn't worth your time) is also on the 360.
I like MGSV more than the common hardcore fan, but it doesn't have the charm of the first 4 games.
Oh, and play Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. It's sick. It's radical. It makes you forget that Revengeance isn't even a word.

I am enjoying Phantom Pain, so I’ll probably try to get into the rest of the series. I was definitely thinking of the HD collection, since I have a 360.
Should I also get Ground Zeroes? I know it’s a huge part of Phantom Pain’s story, but I’ve heard people complain it’s too short.
I remember hearing about Revengeance when it was new. I remember thinking to myself “This is a stealth series?” I do like sneaking through things, so would you still recommend that game since I know it’s more action filled?

Play 1, 2, 3, 4, MGR, and look up the rest. GZ is a fun game, but it was basically a demo for PP. And PW is just too long. Way too long.
If you like PlatinumGames, cutting through robots with a katana, and a BANGING SOUNDTRACK, then I recommend it.
Stealth is unimportant. Guns are boring. You’re a cyborg.
It’s great.
I should probably actually finish MGS1 one of these days. Despite being a huge fan of the series, I never beat it.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I don’t have the modern PlayStation consoles if that puts a dent in things though.

You better not be a Nurse main, because I swear to god I'll come out of your computer screen and delete your Steam if you are.
Then again, I'm a nurse main. Carry on.
