Im playing Battlefields campaign on hard and also getting all the collectibles and codex entries (because im smart and decided to do that on the hardest difficulty) and playing the Italian campaign has made me hate Flamethrowers with a passion.

Steam Halloween Sale. Anyone pick anything up? I got LIMBO (<£2), Resi 4 (>£5), System Shock 2 (<£2) and Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines (<£4).

Considered Dead Space 2 (£2.50), Condemned Criminal Origins (£2.50), Amnesia Dark Descent (£3.74), Zombi (£3.74), and a couple others.

I got Shadow of Mordor for $10. Didn't realise it would be so huge, though. 42 GB, must be a lot of uncompressed shit in there.

Yeah, that surprises me. It's not that big a sandbox.

Maybe the Little Black Book of Orks takes up a lot of memory to run properly?

Good freakin' game, though.

Well, the ending could have been done better, but... it's still awesome.

I'll have to hold off until the early morning hours of November 1 since that's when money is deposited into my bank account and I have classes for pretty much the whole day.
You'd better believe I'm a bitter Bernie Sanders supporter. The Dems fucked up and fucked up hard. Hopefully they'll learn that neoliberalism and maintaining the status quo isn't the way to win this election or any other one. I doubt they will, though.

Yeah...kind of surprise me. I mean, Just Cause 2 is less than 42 GB, but holy shit the sandbox is huge on that game.

Is it possible that a lot of sandbox inside Shadow of Mordor is basically reused for the DLCs, and the reason why it so big is because there are files locked until DLC?

Finished The Forgotten City quest on Skyrim.

Dang good mod. I suggest you get it, but... be prepared for it. Once you go in, you have to finish what you started, and the quest can be a couple hours long. And most of that time, at least for me, was spent investigating or talking.

Just Cause 2 is like 4-6GB on X360 (can't remember) and has one of the biggest sandboxes ever constructed.

I'm hoping Civ 6 will be on sale during Black Friday or the Winter sale.

fun though

so far I've only really managed to crash my aircraft repeatedly while trying to take off and lost control while trying to fly the plane after starting in the air, haha

I figure my problem is that I reflexively jerk the stick too hard, so I oversteer a lot, and when I start losing control as a result, I automatically try to compensate and, well, more reflexive stick-jerking doesn't help to regain control, unsurprisingly

Dead Space 1 would be a good spend of money imo.

People who've played DS1 and 2 say they prefer 2, which is on sale at the same price, which I haven't played.

Is DEFCON on sale? I remember having fun with the demo on my last potato-puter barely running it and this is substantially more powerful.

defcon is currently something like 1,50, I think

To be a little spoilery but not very, about halfway through the first one you get introduced to this monster that you just repeatedly dismember and it can't technically be properly killed. You fight it once, then run away, then have a boss battle with it later.

I stopped playing it as soon as I realised I was in the doorway of the boss arena and haven't touched it since

That was probably two years ago. I bought Far Cry 3 at the same time (along with FC2) and for some reason never played that.

I finished downloading Shadow of Mordor about six hours after I started. Game's really fun, stayed up into the long hours of the night playing. Mobs of basic enemies are pretty easy, but once they start throwing more elite units in it gets dicey. Had difficulty in normal combat with Berserkers, but I think switching up my playstyle to allow bow shots at close range would help with that.
