How is Free To Play still an insult in TF2? At this point there has to be more people who got it free than bought it.

It means people who have never spent anything on the game.

Most regular players probably have bought at least one thing since a simple purchase of anything opens up a lot of extra privileges.

So he is pretty much your tank. Every army needs at least one of those, so it seems legit.

he's got 13 move and capped speed so he'll run physical fighters down but gets fucked by mages cause only 8 magic resistance, no way he's leveling that up though as he's not made to level that

he's good and will probably tank into late game.

Half Life 3 has become a mythical concept by now, and perhaps that is for the best. Remember when Duke Nukem Forever came out and it wasn't what it was hyped to become during long years of waiting at all?

I also got the Master Sword, and was frozen for seven years. It's an interesting to see what things have changed in game.

So I've been playing FF 14 for about 40 hours. Quite possibly the only MMO I've ever played. Pretty sure I've played others but I don't remember them right now.

I gotta say that the 60 level goddamn leap you have to take is goddamn ridiculous. I assume they put in the new "Road To 60" stuff because the fans were literalluy about to keel over from boredom.

The drag and the grind is real. It's so goddamn transparent they're just trying to drag out subscriptions.

So, why do I like the game so much. The gameplay itself is, dare I say... Dungeons & Dragons-esque. No really. It's amazing how much it captures not just the aesthetic (at least when the characters aren't decked out in ridiculous FF abominations) but also the gameplay of D&D. Warriors at the front, mages at the back, rogues in between so they can get backstabs in, and healers healing and buffing. Not even actualy D&D games get that right. A lot of it is walking into a room and figuring out how to kill the monsters in it. Usually it's as simple as rolling the dice and seeing if you kill the monsters first. Bosses are where things get interesting.

For example, the pirate boss keeps retreating and sending minions after you. You can either play the room and keep the monsters at bay or you can try to kill the boss as quickly as possible. Another boss is a slime who separates into smaller, easier to kill slimes as the fight goes on, not taking significant damage... Oh and if you get trapped by it it explodes. Yeah it killed me. Thankfully resurrection isn't as complicated as it is in D&D or Dragon Ball Z.

A lot of what ruins the game is it's subscription model. It's so transparent and obvious. On top of that, the cash shop is horrible. The game is beginning to feel neglected, and that's very sad, because there is so much potential here.
