Avoid hype, you see something you like you go "Yes, i shall have that in the future hopefully" not "OMG THE GLORY" as soon as you see the first trailer.

I saw people going "Battlefield one is amazing" like three months ago, the damn beta was not even out yet.

And then there's the other side who are overly pessimistic about every single game or console coming out.
Personally, I think those are the worst.

Planning on buying BF1 today but just to anyone whose played it already, does it live up to the hype?

Im enjoying it a lot so far, though ive not played much and so far only single player (which is thankfully decent)

I tend to not buy into hype any more, well... try not to anyway. And thankfully i did not this time, i know some people will make it out to be the greatest thing ever then end up disappointed.

How are you finding it overall? Time-wise, can you give us a rough estimate?

I don't think that's Splatoon 2. Seems to just be a port of the first one.
May be wrong, though.

They have varying hair styles and new weapons. Splatoon is a relatively new game, so I wouldn't expect a huge graphics leap between the first and the second.

I am disappointed that MK8 is getting more dlc though (in the sense that it could mean that MK9 might not become a thing, at least until much later). I mean I like MK8 online, but I'm kinda ready to move on from the whole firehopping nonsense. It's obviously MK8 in the trailer, and apparently there's an unused ghost cup and blue shell cup icon found on the game by hackers, under the name "dlc 3 icon" or something of that nature.

Playing Metro Last Light (Redux) a few comments.

1-I prefer the original voice actor for Artyom more.
2-Can you kill enemies by blowing off their gas masks off the surface...I think some heavily armored mook suffocated on the surface after I shot him
3-I don't know why leaving Lesnitsky unconscious on the surface without a gas mask is a 'good' moral choice.

I honestly think XCOM is fucking with me. I am playing on classic difficulty, and so far, I have missed anywhere from 85%-95%, and hit anywhere from 19%-27%. Also, fuck the first mission of Operation Progney.

I missed a shot with a 99% chance to hit yesterday.

I swear I miss half the shots I take with a 50-80 percent chance of hitting. I've missed 95% chance to hit shots repeatedly.

Yesterday a Major panicked and ran right next to a Cyberdisc. Either I didn't blow up the Cyberdisc and it shot her, or I blew it up and she died in the explosion.

Ive got about 6 hours into the game so far according to the game hub on xbox, about an hour was in Multiplayer, another hour or so was the game just being idle as i was changing options or getting something to eat. So id say around 3 1/2 hours to 4 in the singleplayer so far in the prologue, two completed campaigns and halfway through the Italian one.

Though if you go through looking for all the collectibles, it will be longer or if you just rush through quicker so varies alot i would assume.

Ubisoft's just especially bad for it. It tries to hype up new IP by calling cosmetics in it "iconic".

Probably the worst for general hype after Microsoft, if we discount pre-orders (which Ubi are pretty bad on anyway).
