I haven't played a single round of Gwent. Might during my next playthrough, though.

I was fucking terrible at it, lost like near every match

Dark Eater Midir in Dark Souls 3 can be theoretically killed in under 2 hours from the start of the game if you do all the skips properly. I don't know how I feel about that.

Got Dead Space and Dead Space 2 for fifteen quid on Steam, solid games, not played them in a while, and seeing Many a True Nerd play the first one recently got me in the mood for them again.

So.....anyone else notice that games are becoming less.....fun?
Not the old ones of course but this new crap.
Ive seen some many game trailers and non of them have made me go "Yesssssss!!"
Not even games like Assassin creed Origins(they just lost what it meant to be an assassin). It not because I'm getting bored of them the games themselves just suck.
They(gaming industries) need to get back to basics.

I'm sure people can recommend plenty of games with levels. I don't own any new releases; the most recent is probably Dishonored 2, but that has levels.

I don't believe any developers have forgotten that.

Killed the Chosen warlock, thats all three of them dead in my current game. Thought the Assassin was the most challenging, her hit and run attacks were devastating. I'd place the warlock at second, his pisonic zombies were a pain and he could be quite deadly when he was moving about and no longer stationary. The hunter was a bit more manageable as long as i did not let him set up shop, thought he was the easiest.

Overall i really enjoyed fighting them, thought there were a great addition to the game.

The spectres though can suck a dick, hate those things.

Mario Odyssey, for one.
It’s “open world” in the same that that Mario 64 is “open world.”
So it’s not open world.

Exactly. Gameplay is MUCH more important than graphics. I would rather play the original Contra, from the '80s, than the latest CoD. Stupid EA and Activision.

This is me right now.

Last year, there were only two games I found remotely interesting: Nier and Horizon. Horizon was the only game I bought last year (I also went through DDLC, but I digress)

Nothing this year is particularly interesting to me. I also blame my growing cynicism and disgust with AAA Gaming.

I’ve been seeing way fewer uninspired first person shooters recently, so I have no clue what you guys are talking about. There’s CoD:WW2, sure, but I feel like the genre is getting better, if a bit... Overwatch-y.

NieR I've never played, but it looks kinda weird... And lots of positive reviews.
If you want some kind of dungeon game, I recommend Slay the Spire, it's very fun, if bit Hearthstoney.
DDLC was good in my opinion because it was an unique take on the visual novel concept.
EDIT: Subnautica is good as well.
