Ass Creed 1 is probably the closest we're going to get. FPSs don't really work when you can't shoot anything because guns haven't been invented yet.

There are projectile weapons other than guns that have been used in warfare throughout history, y'know. An archery-heavy FPS could be an interesting concept!
