Ass Creed 1 is probably the closest we're going to get. FPSs don't really work when you can't shoot anything because guns haven't been invented yet.

There could be a game set during the korean war for a fun change in an FPS setting.

That way you get some WW2 with some changes.

Or just another Weird World War, like Wolfenstein. There is a funky setting called Konflikt 47 that would be good for that.
